Packaging within a sterile barrier ensures that following the sterilisation process, items will remain free of contamination. For items that are to be used within a sterile field, double packing is recommended to prevent transfer of biocontamination via the outer packaging. All Andersen packaging is compatible with gas sterilisation, so that EtO can penetrate the barrier but micro-organisms cannot.

Self-Seal PouchesExtremely convenient and easy to use, the Andersen range of Self-Seal Sterilisation Pouches feature a self-adhesive strip which requires no heat sealing equipment and provides a superior barrier to bacteria. Pouches are made from uncoated, heavyweight 70gsm paper, meeting EN868-3, and propylene-polyester film. The breathable paper makes them appropriate for use in Anprolene or EOGas cabinets. Pouches are printed with Class A process indicators compliant with EN867-2 for both ethylene oxide and steam sterilisation. Pouches are in compliance with ISO 11607 Pt-1 and EN868 Pt-5.

Seal and Peel® RollsWaterproof, yet gas permeable, this heavy-duty, coextruded, polyethylene based packaging roll stock is designed for use with Anprolene Sterilisers, as it does not allow humidity to penetrate the pouch once sealed. Providing an extended shelf life, Seal and Peel is resistant to pinholes, abrasion and tearing. To use, simply cut the desired

length from the roll, heat seal one end with an Impulse Heat Sealer (AN90), insert the item to be sterilised, expel air, then finally heat seal the open end. Seal and Peel packages will remain sterile for up to two years when stored under suitable conditions.

Tyvek® RollsFor flexibility and strength, Tyvek rolls allow the user to tailor their own pouches, by cutting to the desired length and then using the AN90 or AN1090 heat sealer to seal both ends. Made from uncoated Tyvek and uncoated PET/PE, it has the ability to withstand a temperature range of 20-95°C. The tough, breathable Tyvek material is a complete barrier to micro-organisms, but allows humidity into the package making it appropriate for use in Anprolene and EOGas cabinets, and autoclaves. Tyvek packages will remain sterile for up to two years when stored under suitable conditions.
