I was eager to perform the virtual
tour as quickly as possible in order
to get familiar with this new
learning environment, with voki I
consider it was a fantastic
experience so as to interact with
my partners. As regards Tintapad
and Googledocs I guess they allow
you to enhance your writing and
reading skills as well as to work
collaboratively with other
classmates. Regarding the Learning
Theories, they provided me with
new insights into the way learners
process language so now I will be
more aware how deal with this
aspect when I get my degree.-
I guess every time you discover a
new technological tool, at first it
seems you don‟t know what to do
with it or where to start from but
then it‟s a matter of trial and
error in most of the cases till you
are able to deal quite properly
with such device. Particularly the
only obstacle that I have
encountered throughout this step
was when creating my voki
because at first I couldn‟t get it
done due to the fact that I was
clicking on the option “ONLY
CLASSROOM USERS” but then I
was able to solve it but looking
everywhere a lot of times until I
could change it.-
2 Introduction to ICT –
Part 1
Forum: Teachers in wonderful ICT land Collaborative Powerpoint presentation about the articles
I was able to discover really helpful
tips when dealing with power
points that I didn‟t know them. So
from that moment onwards I
realized that I have to bear in mind
some important issues before
starting to prepare a presentation
of such characteristics so as to
cause a better impression upon my
audience.-
The problem I had in this part is
that everything depends on
patience if you want to get things
done. This is because at first I
was extremely anxious to get
everything done as soon as
possible. But what matters
whenever you work
collaboratively I think is to mind
your classmate‟s pace and of
course to be patient. So when I
thought of that aspect I realized I
had to „slow down‟ and start
working differently.-

to learn facts concerning the
differences between the so-called
„Digital Natives‟ vs „Digital
Immigrants‟ and at the same time I
got an insight into what to include
when it comes to preparing a class
especially for digital natives (since
they will be our future Ss) taking
into account how their brains work
and what interest them most.-

Essay : Distribution Models
It was a great chance for me to visit
a lot of wonderful web pages and
links and to become conscious as
to what the different models in
terms of ICT around the world are
called. I reckon it was also a very
good opportunity to enhance my
reading skills.
I deem it took me a great deal of
time to get my essay done since I
had to work hard to e.g. try to
remember some links I had read
in order to include in my writing
task, see ways of translating
some ideas into English due to
the fact that some links were in
Spanish. Again, here the only way
to overcome these difficulties is a
question of patience and trying
again and again.-

As regards Scoop.it and Dropbox, I
didn‟t know about them so it was
totally new for me and at the same
quite a challenge to start dealing
with these technological tools.
Concerning Dropbox, I have never
heard of such tool before and I was
really amazed that I can have a
copy of all my files in a safe place
as it is Dropbox. Bearing in mind
Scoop.it at first I didn‟t understand
quite well how it worked, but then

The problem I underwent here
was mainly when trying to create
my Scoop.it account. It was a
hard task to get it finished. I had
to click everywhere to find this or

the settings concerning my
account. But then after a lot of
attempts I was able to get my

create your own topics so as to
have followers that like your topics

promoting reading habits. Taking
into consideration Wikispaces, I had
lots of fun to upload a lot of
interesting sites and to share with
my partners thus working
collaboratively. In the case of

that I haven‟t heard before and I
felt it was excellent when I
discovered it. Here you can have all

I was able to compare different web

are to be considered in terms of
reliability as regards web page. It
really came in useful to me this

I guess everything went smoothly

Working on Edmodo to design an

Personal Reflective Journal Assignment
Many education experts see the teacher as a reflective practitioner. To reflect is to look back, to make connections and to build meaning out of your experiences. You will be required to reflect on your course work.
At least once a week, write a brief journal entry that reflect on your course work and field experience observations. It should be at least. Make connections among all lessons and with your personal experiences. Write down your observations and list questions that come to mind. The act of reflective journaling will provide you with an opportunity to understand the stages in your own learning; identify your own strengths and weaknesses as a learner; adopt learning strategies which work best for you; overcome blocks or difficulties in your learning; and appreciate the importance of self-assessment in evaluating the quality and outcomes of your learning. (adapted from Reflective Learning Journal, http://www.polyu.edu.hk/learn-to-learn/teacher/_contents/matfiles/G17/journex5.doc)
How will your journal be evaluated? You will be asked to hand in your reflective journal at the end of the course. Simply listing events is not reflection. You must show that you are thinking about and what you are learning. Try to answer the next questions as you write each entry:

able to understand how it
worked. It was really a
compelling tool to apply in the
lesson.-
What are you learning?
How do you learn best?
Why are you learning some things more easily than others?
What obstacles have you encountered?
How can you remove those obstacles?
In what way is your personal and/or professional development enhanced by your learning in this class?
What does this learning experience mean to you?
What does this learning experience tell you about your potentials as an ESL teacher?
Your reflective learning journal will contribute to your final grade for the subject
