They can focus on the experiences and not appearances as it is not good for teens to be constantly worried about their appearance.2). Taking responsibility is a good way to help build their self esteems. If they are responsible for something it will make them feel like they are capable of doing something right and properly by themselves.3). They must not live trying to please other people. The things they do should be the things that make them happy, not anyone else.4). They must try to ignore negativity and focus on all the positive things. If they spend time with the people that are negative all the time, it will impact on how they look at their lives. 1.4.John is very possessive which will affect Cathy by making her think that she is only loved by him. He is also very quick tempered which will make Cathy always say things to please him and never stand up for herself. 1.5. Cathy will never experience new things with her friends because John never allows her to see them. She will also become a very shy, withdrawn person and it could ruin her friendships. 1.6. Abusive. Cathy will come out of the relationship with emotional scars from how John has treated her and it will take her a while to get everything fixed again. 1.7. Women are supposed to be submissive and do what they are told. John tells Cathy what to do and what to wear and she is just supposed to listen. 1.8. She can speak up and be more assertive about what she wants; she can speak to someone for advice and help, she can break up with him or she can tell him how he makes her feel. 1.9. When people see celebrities on social media they want to look like them and be like them and when they cant look like them they feel bad and their self esteem gets lower. Also when people comment and say nice or ugly things about you, it can either bring up or bring down your self esteem. When people see thin people too, they try to be that thin and their self esteem goes down. 1.10. Parents should teach their children that all genders are equal by being nice to everybody and they should also tell them that gender does not define your limits. 1.11. If the man/woman has power over their partner they can force them to have intercourse without using protection, thus spreading HIV. 1.12. If there is violence in a home, our society might think that if one person is doing it then its okay for everyone else to do it. Also, if people are abusive in a home it brings down the self esteem of many people in our society.
