What is t he Sel f -Clean ingPrecleaner?
It separates air from heavier-than-air
particles using centrifugal force, ejecting the debris back into theenvironment.
As the first step of your engine’s airintake system, it prevents most debrisfrom reaching your air filter, whichgreatly extends air filter life.
It is maintenance-free, as no debris istrapped within the Self-Cleaning
Precleaner.

Where do you use t he Sel f -Clean ingPrecleaner?
On ANY engine with an air inlet pipe,
in a vertical OR horizontal mount,
in ANY environment where dirt or debris could
reduce air filter life.

How i t Work s :St ep 1
• Air and debris pass
through a prescreenon the underside ofthe unit.
• It then passesthrough recessedvanes, directing airand debris into thethe particleaccelerator blades.
This prevents clogging, as no debris enters that is larger than the
ejection slot can expel.

• Strakes (angled fins) along the
interior surface of the dome move
heavier-than-air debris towards the

• The debris is then expelled back into
the atmosphere.

Ins t a l lat ion Cons idera t ions Observe minimum hood clearance.
There must be enough room between precleaner and hood
for unrestricted air movement. Extender kits are available.
Must be at least 12 inches from exhaust stack.
This prevents exhaust gases from being drawn into the
engine. Adjust prescreen in snowy conditions.
The Series 9000 is extremely effective in snow.
To prevent the prescreen from icing over, cut
the zip ties holding the prescreen in place and
drop it down the pipe. In the Spring, slide the
prescreen back into place and replace the zip
ties.

The Sel f -Clean ing Prec leaner ex t ends f i l t e r l i fe
The life of an air filter is directly related to the amountof debris ingested through the air intake.
Particulate can quickly clog an air filter. Positioned at the beginning of
the air intake, the Self-Cleaning Precleaner ejects the majority ofheavier-than-air particulate. Thus, fewer particles enter the air filter,
extending its effective life.

St ep 1: Air enters Stage 1, which is an

St ep 2: Curved particle-accelerator bladesslam air and dirt up against the sidewall.
St ep 3: Strakes along the interior surface
move heavier-than-air debris towards theejection slot.

St eps 6: Remaining debris is isolated in
the exit tray of stage two.
St eps 7: Isolated debris is removed
through the machine’s exhaust system.

What our c us t om ers have t o say
“We were blowing air filters out at least once a day and replacing elements every three days. Now we go 300 to 500 (hours) before replacing the elements, without blowing out the air filters.
It saves us money, increases
our productivity and makes for happier operators.”

What our c us t om ers have t o say“We’ve gone from blowing filters every second day and changing filters once a week, to changing filters every 300 hours, without ever
opening the air filter housing to blow the filters. The operators are really sold on the systems, and so am I.” -- Operations Supervisor, South Carolina
“At the 250 hour service interval on
the D6R we opened the engine filter
housing to check the filter and it
looked great. We reinstalled the cap
and put the tractor back to work.”
