8. A DANCE TO DAWN - Third on debut at Compiegne and the sixth at this venue. Needs even more

Summary

This two year old maiden for fillies only looks booked for (5) VIENNE. The daughter of Showcasing can provide another winner for the ever conquering Jean Claude Rouget yard. She has shown more than enough ability in two near misses at Deauville in the past few months to suggest this is well within her compass. (1) SILVER PALM should and will need to improve on debut. (3) FEE HISTORIQUE and (6) GEMCUTTER also need consideration.

7. L'AIGLE - Well beaten on debut at Deauville before a very close fourth here in a finish of necks and heads. Both runs came in July

8. CONARGO - Very nice fourth on debut at Deauville last month. Not beaten far and must improve as a result of that experience

9. KOSKOV - Fifth on debut at Deauville last month and one place behind Conargo. Ground to make up on that one

10. GREEN SPIRIT - Finished sixth on debut at Dieppe in July and not beaten far at all there. Can do better

11. PAO ALTO - Excellent debut when runner up at Deauville last month. Finished ahead of several of these. Just beaten there and every chance

A race that took place at Deauville last month will hold the key to this two year old males only juvenile contest. (11) PAO ALTO was just beaten there and in doing so pulled three lengths clear of third place (1) ASHARANN. He will surely confirm that form and further enhance a system that backs up these types that are beaten in a dual and come clear of the opposition. (4) NEMEAN LION is surely better than that debut show. (6) SAN FABRIZIO for fourth place.

Another Listed event that could be marked for export and this time it is for the females. Simon Crisford is building all the time on his burgeoning reputation as a trainer of note and he loves to raid in this country so particular note should be taken of his (1) IMPERIAL CHARM. She has some top form and in this country and will be very difficult to beat. (2) SAVAANAH should make it a one two for the visitors. (7) MATEMATICA and (3) RICHMOND AVENUE can get some black type.

1. FUN LEGEND - Just the five career runs to date. Successful in one of those at Lyon La Soie in April. Well beaten at Deauville when last sighted. Needs to bounce back

2. PERFECTO - One win from eight outings so far. Very consistent in those and only out of the frame twice. Runner up at Deauville last time out and in contention

3. ASTROLOGIA - One success from ten which came at Les Sables back in June. Soundly defeated at Deauville last time out and must do better here is the advice now

4. SEDRINA - Had the seven runs so far and simply could not be in better form right now. On a hat trick after claiming win at Argentan and a handicap at Deauville

5. TORONADA - One win from nine which came on May day at Saint Cloud. Two decent efforts from a few runs since then but completely blew out at Deauville last time

6. CORDEY ROSE - Just the three runs in very light career. Runner up in each of them and last of those was at Deauville. Only matter of time before the breakthrough

7. ARUM - Three time victor from a dozen outings. Usually runs an honest enough race but could potentially do with the handicapper giving some help at this stage

8. ANIEL - Made it win number two from just the six starts when taking a claimer at Deauville last month but will find this test appreciably more difficult now

9. PHAROA - All five runs have come this season. Has placed in three of those. One could argue that the handicapper has been harsh with the mark that he allocated

10. GREEN VIEW - Placed in Italy. Went on mad winning spree when taking four claimers in a row last backend. Four very respectable placed efforts this season. Improving

11. KAYZEN - Placed in first four runs and then has gone on to do the opposite in the next four outings. Dropping in the weights and needs to bounce back quickly

12. SERENDIPITE - In the frame once last season. One success from eight this year. Finished fourth in latest three efforts and will need to do much better here today

13. FILLE DE JOHA - This daughter of Slickly has one success from eleven outings. She was fifth last time out at Deauville but may still be too high in the handicap still

14. PATNA DREAM - Five places so far from eleven outings. Finished runner up

in two of those. Eighth at Clairefontaine-Deauville last time out so needs to do more here

15. GOLDPARK - This son of Waldpark has been runner up in four of his fourteen runs. Three of those were in last three so obviously in form and hitting the crossbar

Summary

The big betting race of the day and it is for three year old's over two thousand metres. If ever a crystal ball was need, this is the time. It looks virtually impossible from a punting point of view with so many of the contenders been so lightly raced. One such animal is (6) CORDEY ROSE who might find bundles for her first run in a handicap and could have been allocated a very nice mark. (10) GREEN VIEW might be all the rage in the market and like the selection looks well weighted. (2) PERFECTO and (5) TORONADA will have plenty to say in the finish as might (1) FUN LEGEND.

4. FAN OF SEA - All four runs have come last season. Won first three in a row. Fourth last time at Saint Cloud in November

5. ETATIX - Four victories from ten runs. Impressive when taking this very same event last year. Runner up at Clairefontaine last time

6. FESTINETTE - All four runs have come this season. Placed in first two and won the last two at Les Sables. Improving

7. ELVIRA - A three time winner from ten outings and is a very consistent type who has a shot

8. EN BONNE MAIN - Five time winner from twenty one including last time out at Vichy so in form

9. FEE MANO - Four time winner from a dozen starts. Good sort and has placed in latest couple

10. FIN DU MATCH - Has won three of her four runs including last time out at Clairefontaine over hurdles. Respected

Summary

This AQPS Grade One is always a mouthwatering contest and it can often throw up a very smart sort. There are so many of them in with a fighting chance. A system that often helps punters is when animals go back for a repeat victory in the same race and bearing that in mind, last year's impressive victor, (5) ETATIX, looks worth following. The gelding showed his well being when second last time at Clairefontaine-Deauville and can confirm that form with (9) FEE MANO. (1) EROS DU QUARTIER and (4) FAN OF SEA are players too.

Summary

A qualified conditions event here and there could be a joker in the pack in the shape of the supplemented (7) DEL CAMPO. The Vicky Haigh trained ex German runner has qualified for a mark with three rather inauspicious efforts to date since transferring to this country but he may be ready now to deliver a big performance which is more in keeping with some of his better German form. (8) WILLOW TREE and (1) NORTHERN DAGGERS will be more obvious to punters. (4) ELUSIVE BOY should run well.

Well-bred newcomer (1) GRAAL DU CHENE caught the eye during qualification and has the confidence of his trainer Julien Le Mer, whose booking of Eric Raffin for the drive bodes well for the chances of his charge on debut. He will have have to good, though, to get the better of (7) GO FAST DESBOIS who has run well in both starts and has had the form franked by a subsequent winner at Vincennes.

Summary

A very nice looking conditions event for two year old's here. (1) THUNDERSPEED could well be the one. He was beaten over five lengths in a Listed at Vichy last time but the runaway winner franked the form at the weekend when taking a Group Three at ParisLongchamp so his credentials are there for all to see. (2) CHACHNAK also showed big potential on debut and is a very big threat. (4) LOVE VEGA and (5) MOKO are next in.

1. BOLERO DEI GRIF - Runner up on both outings at Deauville and Vichy. Only a matter of time before breaking duck and could be today

3. FRENCH ASEEL - Placed on first two runs both here and at Marseille Borely. Only sixth last time out at Vichy however

4. KING PACHA - Runner up on debut at Deauville last month in a blanket finish. Will do even better

5. CLEOD'OR - Placed in six of his eight starts but is hardly progressive. Passed over for win purposes

6. WOOT CITY - Placed third in the middle of three runs which came at Vichy but more is required here

7. THE CHAMP - Finished seventh on debut at Deauville last month but has ground to make up on San Fabrizio

8. UNTITLED - Finished ninth on debut at Maisons Laffitte in June so more will be required

9. SAUZON - By Rio De La Plata out of a Dubawi mare. Dam was a dual winner and both her foals have been successful too

10. AIGUIERE D'ARGENT - By Excelebration out of an Astronomer Royal mare. Dam was a triple winner with black type. This is her first foal to race

Summary

This two year old maiden over a mile is for colts and geldings only. It looks very open with many having already shown promise. (1) BOLERO DEI GRIF is the call having finished runner up on both starts at Vichy and Deauville and even a small bit of improvement on those should suffice. (4) KING PACHA and (5) CLEOD'OR can fight for the silver medal with (3) FRENCH ASEEL looking for minor honours also.

2. FINE ANGELS - Only the one win from fifty outings. Has been running well but surely not one for the mortgage

3. BYE BYE D'ORTIGE - A dual winner from twenty one. Adequate return is all at Vittel from over a year off

4. EAU DE VIE SIVOLA - Last of two wins from thirteen came here back in April. Respectable efforts since then

5. ESPOIR DES PREUX - Remains a maiden after twenty one outings and will surely have to be doing better

6. PTITOINE DU VALET - Has only hit the frame twice in a dozen runs and such types are always best left alone

7. BIRDPARKER - Has won three of his fifteen runs and overcame long absence to run some good races this term. In the mix here

8. ESTOSUD - Placed in three of for back in 2017. In the frame in one from four early last year. Absent since April 2018

Summary

A conditions steeplechase for five year old's and up. (7) BIRDPARKER is definitely the one that catches the eye. The useful sort was off for a very long time before showing plenty in a few runs back this term and a recent fourth in a good contest at La Teste de Buch should leave the six year old spot on. (1) ZEAUDIAK could also be dangerous on return. (4) EAU DE VIE SIVOLA and (2) FINE ANGELS have frame claims.

4. GOOLERONG BONG - Well beaten eleventh on racecourse debut at Clairefontaine last month . Plenty to do

5. SPIRIT OF LIBERTY - Off the mark on tenth and latest start which came at Moulins. Interesting as a result

6. TEQUILA BOOM BOOM - Five time winner from twenty five but latest two runs are very off putting

7. COOKILAYONE - Placed in two of her seven outings but may need some of the others to falter

8. RONAZZA ONE - Remains a maiden after thirty two runs and such types are best left alone

9. BLACK ABBEY - Out of frame in three runs in Britain. Placed twice in eight starts in this country. Plenty to prove

10. SWINGY - Unplaced on all three outings to date and surely has little or no chance

11. STRATONICE - Placed in one of four runs which all came this season. Will need to find something from somewhere

Summary

This claiming race for three year old's over a middle distance will take a bit of sorting out. On the face of it, (1) MOUDIR was a bit disappointing last time out but it might have been a warm contest. The entire has been tried over a variety of trips but he should settle into this nicely and enjoy the ease in grade. (2) VIOMENIL and (3) HOLBOX head up the opposition with a lesser chance for (5) SPIRIT OF LIBERTY.

1. KALDORINA - Has improved with each start. Placed in first two and readily off the mark at La Teste Buch last time. Feared

2. AVENUE KENNEDY - Talented on the level and won one from four which came at Dax. Scored on hurdles debut at Dieppe last month

3. LEGGY LEGEND - Unplaced on all five outings and showed very little in those to have any chance here

4. GLAJOU - Finished fifth on both starts at Vichy and Moulins and will need to do better

5. GIACO BERE - One flat win from nine outings but unlikely to make much of an impact here

6. AYRTON BANKS - Just the five runs on the flat and was successful once. Making hurdles debut today

Summary

A juvenile conditions hurdle contest here and basically a poor turn out for the prize money on offer. (2) AVENUE KENNEDY looks the one to be on having won on debut over hurdles and first run for Nicolle at Dieppe. That represented a big upturn in fortunes and she really ought to build on that here. (1) KALDORINA is also on the up and is feared. (4) GLAJOU and (6) AYRTON BANKS can come in some way behind the principals.

3. KENMOR - A two time scorer from eight starts including last time out at Vittel. This is tougher

4. ANGEL FOR ALL - One win from seven and was highly tried. Good third here in Class One here in June and filled same position at Deauville last time

5. OCAGNA - Just the one success from a dozen outings. Fifth last time out at Vichy. A bit to do

6. CAONOI - Placed third in two of four outings and will be winning at some stage in future

7. LUCKY BIRD - Placed in eight of eighteen outings and remains a maiden for the present

8. EL CALIENTE - One success from ten outings. Form seems to be in stall mode at present

9. SANDY DREAM - All five successes from twenty have come this season but may do well to add another

10. LIFKARITA - Has won three times from seventeen. Placed in two of latest three. Not ruled out

11. SAINT LEONARD - Placed in half of his six outings and will do well to break duck here today

12. FIRE AT MIDNIGHT - Placed in four of nine runs but will need a lifetime best here to click

13. TEMPETE DARGENT - Made it win number two from ten at Deauville two goes back. Runner up at Clairefontaine last time. One to consider

Summary

An absolutely devilishly difficult three year old handicap for punters to try and decipher. (4) ANGEL FOR ALL may be worth chancing. She is lightly raced and has some very nice form in the context of this event. She made represent value for shrewd connections. (2) KYLHEAD is in terrific heart right now and will go well.

4. COLDAY - Useful five-time winner including a claimer on the PSF last time out. Place prospects

5. ZAK - A three time winner from nineteen runs. Poor efforts in his last two runs at Vichy

6. ALL THIS TIME - First and second in claimers on the PSF at Marseille-Vivaux in June. More needed here

7. LA FIBRE - Five time winner from twenty six runs. Needs to improve on his latest two efforts

8. LOOK BACK - Has been running well in some good handicaps this year. Holding form and has earning potential again

The four year old filly has only one win to her name but has finished runner up in her last two at Vichy and the beauty and common sense approach of the French handicapping system allows run to run off the same mark as in those so she is set fair for a big effort. (10) EZPELETAKO and (11) CAMILLA MY LOVE have their particular chances. (1) SHYAMALA should have a look in also.

3. EBENE DU LOGIS - Struggling with form this season but has a plum spot behind the car and with Franck Anne in the wagon will be afforded every chance

4. ELFE PIERJI - Untried here but showed his form at La Capelle recently. Shoes on this time but ideally positioned in front and can pick up a cheque

5. ESPOIR DES CHAMPS - Has enjoyed a profitable run over past two months. Is confirmed here and can win this if he reproduces his latest run

6. ERAPOLIS - Not without merit but totally off the boil since the break and chances slim

7. EXTRA DU CHATAULT - Classy trotter that thrives at Le Croise Laroche. Impossible to fault at present and could yet pull off the hat trick

8. ELIO PIERJI - Has bags of talent but very temperamental. Gave a fine account behind (13) EOLE DU FAUCON at La Capelle last time and with application can go far

9. ETHANO DE BOUTEAU - Imposed over track and trip mid June. On a decent run since and on good behaviour can make amends for recent La Capelle sanction

10. ETOILE DE JIEL - No slouch on a good day but appears to have lost her way and her Croise Laroche form speaks for itself

11. EMERAUDE DE BOUGY - More at home in the claiming division these days and latest results do nothing to inspire confidence

12. EMILE DU VAR - Imposed under these conditions during the spring but has placed just once in five since and not an obvious choice

13. EOLE DU FAUCON - Good consistent trotter that has been knocking at the

door lately. Has no love for the venue and starts on the second line but still very hard to ignore

14. ELIO MANNETOT - Tricky sort with a tough draw. Showed some form last time but stays shod and others preferred

15. ETAT CIVIL - Capable on a good day but lacklustre lately. Trounced in the race of reference and the draw does him no favours

Back at his best since returning to racing unshod (5) ESPOIR DES CHAMPS finds himself ideally placed behind the car and looks the one to beat. (13) EOLE DU FAUCON is forced to start on the second line but he has been knocking at the door for some time and will be no pushover. The complicated (8) ELIO PIERJI finished a place behind him at La Capelle last time and looks set to confirm. (4) ELFE PIERJI trotted fourth that day and can again figure prominently but may first have to see off the more faithful and in-form (9) ETHANO DE BOUTEAU who surprisingly lost her action on that occasion.

4. FULSANG NESLOIS - Dependability not his strong suit and recently reassured on turf but still not an obvious choice

5. FAIR PLAY - Moderate type that has placed just once in last six. Goes barefoot from the front line though and will have his supporters

6. FALCO EMGE - Still a maiden but can trot. Sanctioned in all three since the break though and must reaffirm

7. FURIOSO DE WATOU - Back in the game since starting to race unshod behind. Sanctioned in all three under these conditions though and unlikely to spring any surprises

8. FLY SPIRIT - Erratic but has ample ability. Courageous third at La Capelle nine days ago and even from the second line can get in on the action

9. FOLKO DE L'ANCRE - Clearly capable but off the boil since the spring and needs to get his house in order

10. FINGALO - Erratic but has won three of four here including twice over the distance. Steps up in class and incurs the penalty but still looks the pick of the field

11. FAKIR DAIRPET - Useful sort with good references going left handed. Sanctioned when well backed at Cagnes last time but with application can figure prominently

12. FIGARO D'AM - Moderate sort with two races under his belt this season. Should show improvement on latest Enghien effort but others still preferred

13. FIRE BIRD - Twice a winner in three starts here. Yet to get into his stride this term though and unlikely to spring any surprises

14. FIGEAC COLMI - Delicate but not without ability. Unraced for three months though and will need the outing

15. FIER D'ARS - Faithful servant for the most part. Would have finished closer at Cabourg had he been afforded a run and can make amends

Three times a winner at Le Croise-Laroche and unbeaten over the distance here (10) FINGALO returns fresh to the venue and can pick up where he left off. (3) FLYING JET is better than most of the field and showed his form last time out despite the sanction. He benefits from a front-line start here and looks a serious contender. (1) FIREBIRD JIEL gave an excellent account on his first race for his new trainer and can again trot his way onto the podium. (8) FLY SPIRIT incurs the penalty this time but can make his presence felt if he reproduces his latest effort.

He has imposed on four occasions here and can add another success to his tally if focused. 7. FOGGIA - Never far from losing her action but caught the eye at Les Sables last time. On the front line here and will generate some interest

14. FIESTA DU GADE - Occasionally indisciplined but otherwise in decent shape. Unlikely to spring any surprises but can still make the first five

15. FEDRA - Serious filly that was surprisingly well beaten in last two but has references under these conditions and must be afforded respect

5. GRATTE CIEL - Promising colt that has made the frame in last two. Well engaged and can again figure prominently

6. GOAL STAR - Imposed on debut at Graignes late July. Sanctioned early next time but will have his chances if he gets off on the right foot

7. GENEREUX CASTELETS - Won on debut before disappointing here next time. Unraced since April but still worth retaining

8. GABIER DU GOUTIER - Handy sort that went close at Abbeville last time out. At his ease going left handed and must be respected

9. GUNMAN - Complicated but made good on his promise at Vittel last month and with stride in check should have a good hand to play

A fine winner on debut at Graignes late July (6) GOAL STAR lost his action early next time but is a good sort in the making and can impose if he assures his initial strides. Recent authoritative winner at Pornichet (4) GUESS QUICK has a better spot behind the car and looks the principal threat. Stablemate (2) GORDON QUICK has made the frame in three of four starts to date and will not be inconvenienced by the good draw. (1) GOLZAC DE REM is another promising type and should be helped by the mobile start. The reinvigorated (5) GRATTE CIEL is another one to watch.

5. DONATO DU LOUVAIN - In the frame in four of last five. Has placed just once in four starts under these conditions though and no more than a minor place chance

6. DREAM DU RABUTIN - Erratic type that failed to make his mark in both since the break. Stays shod and not a priority

7. DREAM OF JET - Complicated but has been flying in the amateur division this summer. Has form here and the front row start does his prospects no disservice

8. DARLEY HAMPTON - Solid in first two following the break before failing to fire at Francheville. Has an excellent entry and has never disappointed here. Place chance

11. DELADO - Often indisciplined but has otherwise been on a superb streak. Incurs the penalty this time but can still hold his own

12. DANCE ROCK - Has ability but never far from losing his action. Yet to deliver here and others preferred

13. DZEUS D'AVIGNERE - Quality element that has won three of four starts here. Is clearly in form and with application can play a leading role

14. DARK ANGEL DESBOIS - Occasionally a handful but otherwise very productive. Comes here fresh and can confirm his liking for the venue

15. DUC DE LAISSARD - Just one blip on his formsheet for past four months. Boasts a fine record at the venue and can go far

16. DERBY D'AUVRECY - Fourth start back following a lengthy absence. Hind shoes off this time and expected to show improvement

Summary

Although rarely far from losing his action (13) DZEUS D'AVIGNERE can nevertheless boast a fine strike-rate at Le Croise-Laroche and on good behaviour should be able to win this. He is unlikely to have it all his own way though given (15) DUC DE LAISSARD's current form and his liking for the venue. (14) DARK ANGEL DESBOIS appears to be back at his best and returns fresh with a good hand to play. Being behind in earnings (8) DARLEY HAMPTON gets to start in front and should logically finish in the mix. A well-behaved (4) DUC DE TYROLE will not be far off the mark either.

1. FAROUK DE MONCHEL - Late developer that qualified very well under harness but sanctioned in all five starts. Debuts in the specialty and if applied can get a look in

2. FIL OCCAGNES - Showed a different side to himself on ridden debut last month and can again figure prominently

3. FOLLOW ME SAM - Sanctioned more often than not but has ability. Takes first steps under the saddle and with Lagadeuc on board will be afforded every chance

4. FLICK WOOD - Complicated type that has never made the grade going left handed and can be passed over

5. FALKO WIND - Has shown a different side since starting to race unshod all four but shoes back on this time and best to wait

6. FIESTA TURGOT - Has placed just once in four appearances under the saddle and in present form looks outclassed

7. FEVE DE BEYLEV - In the frame in three of four for Lamy. Presently at the top of her game and can win this

8. FORJET VOGOULIERE - Serious sort on a good day. Showed his form in the capital recently and on better behaviour can go close

9. FELLA DE VANDEL - Not the easiest to handle but opened her ridden account late July and with application can put on another good show

10. FURYO DES RIOULTS - Has struggled with form since returning to competition. Has no love for the venue and chances slim on ridden debut

11. FEE DU CIEL - Hardy mare on a good day. Is proven at a superior level and should be good enough to make the frame this time

12. FYLENA D'ISQUES - Kicked the summer off with a brace of harness wins before losing her way. Switches codes for the first time and can get back in the game

13. FLASH DU QUESNE - Gives a good account for the most part in the specialty. Shoes on this time but can still get in on the action

(7) FEVE DE BEYLEV has been going good-guns lately with Adrien Lamy in the irons and looks thoroughly capable of imposing here. She will however be pitted against the complicated (8) FORJET VOGOULIERE who would have picked up a cheque at Vincennes last week had he not faulted. (11) FEE DU CIEL is no champion but she has references in better company and must be taken seriously.

(2) FIL OCCAGNES left a very good impression on his ridden debut last month and looks set to confirm.

1. CRISTAL DU PONT - Tricky type but solid in two of last three here. Finished a place behind (14) CARINA DU PORHOET at Vincennes last time and must be afforded respect

2. CREOLE D'AVIGNERE - Never far from losing her action but boasts an excellent record here and with application can impose

3. CHAMBON TONIQUE - Has done nothing of note under harness for past 3.5 years and can be confidently ruled out

4. BEHEF BRILLOUARD - Gives a respectable account for the most part but has made the frame just once in past 12 months and chances limited

5. CASANOVA DE RICO - Occasionally indisciplined but otherwise very consistent. Well placed in front and can challenge for the win

6. COMETE ROYALE - Has shown a different side to herself lately. Arguably better going clockwise but breaks in front and is not incapable of spoiling the party

7. CLAIR DE LUNE - Useful sort when applied and barefoot. Has raced just twice since last autumn and unlikely to worry the opposition

8. BARON DU CITRUS - Moderate trotter that regularly picks up some scraps. Has never finished closer than fourth here though and the handicap only compounds matters

9. BRISE DU CHOQUEL - Erratic but showed her form in the capital last week and with a better trip can play a role here

10. CALDEIRA TURGOT - Unremarkable mare that surprised in Paris last weekend but a repeat looks highly unlikely

11. BORIGANO - Blows hot and cold and below par in last two but has a good record with Rivenet and can make amends and go close

12. ASLAK - Not the worst horse here but has failed to make the grade this term and must get his house in order

13. BUENO VERDERIE - Second on his only start under these conditions but in present form will have nothing to give

14. CARINA DU PORHOET - Disappointed last time out but solid in two previous runs and if focused can finish in the mix

Summary

Although regularly a handful (2) CREOLE D'AVIGNERE has nothing to prove at this level. She has never failed to deliver here and breaking in front looks the

horse to beat. Lefranc will still need to keep a watchful eye on the excellent (5) CASANOVA DE RICO who rarely disappoints when applied. (11) BORIGANO is reunited with the driver of his last three successes and can be backed with confidence this time. In the frame in two of her last three (14) CARINA DU PORHOET is confirmed over course and distance and should not be far off the mark.
