August 18, 2011 Ed Poprik Director of Physical Plant State College Area School District 131 West Nittany Avenue, State College Pa. 16801-4899 RE: Architect: Routine Projects For 2011 Mr. Poprik It is with great pleasure that Hoffman Architecture of Boalsburg Pennsylvania present to you our interest in provide architecture/engineering design services for the State College Area School District’s routine projects. I want to assure you that we feel honored in being asked to submit this proposal and look forward in being a creative partner with you and your staff on this venture. We feel our team can satisfy your demands based upon the following: TEAM EXPERIENCE Hoffman Architecture and our consultants Reese Engineering, Sweetland Engineering, and Robert Davis have completed four years as your design professionals and have become extremely familiar with the district schools, their needs, and most importantly your physical plant staff. We have tried to meet your schedules and the short construction period over the summer months, and have not lost enthusiasm in performing work of rather small scale and scope. EFFECTIVE CLIENT COMMUNICATION As witnessed by our broad range of clients, our team has succeeded in developing effective communications with multiple building users and diverse building committees. As principal, I will be assigned to lead this effort from the initial programming stage up to and including substantial completion. CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION EXPERIENCE Based on our familiarity with construction firms and our desire to be completely involved in the bidding and construction phase of work, we are able to assist both the owner and the contractors in interpreting design ideas into a successful built environment. With all team members located in State College and Bellefonte, we can respond quickly to the School District’s and contractors time demands. We look forward working with the State College Area School District in developing practical, affordable solutions to your physical and spatial needs. Sincerely,

Robert H. Hoffman, AIA LEED AP Hoffman Architecture

Closing The Beginnings of a Finished Project Over the last 38 years of owning and operating an architectural firm in Boalsburg, PA I have learned and experienced that all projects, either large or small, new or remolded, are important to clients and must be processed in a comprehensive way from design to substantial completion. Renovation and small scale projects require perhaps more concentration and creativity than new larger commissions. The design team assembled share a belief in this statement through our everyday professional practices. Robert H. Hoffman, AIA LEED AP Hoffman Architecture
