Raleigh, N.C. …….. Thomas E. Holder, Jr. has recently joined Select Bank & Trust and has been named the Region Executive for the greater Triangle and Triad areas. Tom will oversee the business development efforts of the commercial and retail teams in Wake and Alamance Counties along with the newly announced Loan Production offices recently established in Durham/Chapel Hill and the Winston-Salem Triad areas led by Tim Stratton and Doug Brewer, respectively.
Holder brings 37 years of banking experience to the role, working with Wachovia Bank in a number of roles and helping form Crescent State Bank in Cary until sold in 2011. His true passion is to work with his teammates to find financial solutions for small and large businesses and individuals in order for them to achieve their financial goals and objectives. Holder said of his banking style, “If we make you a loan, you are one of our family members. We want all of our family to do well and thrive!”
Tom is very pleased to have joined the Select Bank & Trust team. Holder said “the Bank has the size to allow it to work with larger loans and clients with more sophisticated need, including lending and cash management, yet is nimble enough to get an answer on a request efficiently and quickly.”
Tom and his wife, Jill, live in Raleigh where they raised their family. They now have four grown children and recently welcomed a grandson to the family. Tom graduated from North Carolina State University with three bachelor’s degrees and is a North Carolina Certified Public Accountant. Tom is a member of the Rotary Club of Raleigh, The Executives Club and the NC Association of CPA’s as well as a member at Christ Episcopal Church.

Winston - Salem, NC - Select Bank & Trust is pleased to announce the expansion of its network into Winston-Salem, N.C. A new loan production office, located at 500 W. 5 th Street, Suite 800 in the
downtown area of the city, is expected to open on December 2, 2019. The office will be led by Doug Brewer, a 25-year banking veteran and resident of the area. Brewer is excited to have Select Bank & Trust move into the Winston-Salem area and be a part of the Triad. Brewer noted, “I really look forward to serving the area and finding solutions for our customers with our common-sense approach to banking and commitment to the community.”
Doug and his wife, Gwen, live Lewisville where they have raised their family for the last 18 years. He is a High Point University Alumnus and serves on the Piedmont Triad Regional Development Corporation Board. Doug is usually attending sporting events with his family, particularly West Forsyth High School sports. Of his banking style Brewer stated, “I enjoy solving problems and finding solutions for my customers. My job is to make banking easier for customers, create long-lasting relationships, and to a trusted financial confidant. It’s rewarding to be a community banker and seeing positive change in the community I serve and care about so much.”

DURHAM, NC - Select Bank & Trust is pleased to announce the expansion of its network into
Durham, N.C. A new loan production office, located at 3100 Tower Boulevard, Ste 1650, Durham, NC 27707, in the University Towers building, is expected to open in December 2, 2019. The office will be led by Tim Stratton, a 35-year banking veteran and resident of Durham. Thomas E. Holder, Jr., Region Executive for the area, said of Select Bank & Trust moving into the Durham area, “We are making a name for ourselves in Raleigh and Wake County it just made sense to expand to the Durham area as well. We are really looking forward to serving the customers in Durham and Chapel Hill and we hope that these are as excited as we are to bring our ‘common-sense’ approach to banking to this area.”
Stratton is welcomed to Select Bank & Trust after 15 years at Fidelity Bank and Harrington Bank. Educated at Western Kentucky University for his undergraduate and University of Kentucky for his MBA, Stratton strives to provide superior customer service for his customers, working closely with teammates to do so. “I consider all of my customers to be a part of the Bank family and I care about all aspects of their well-being” Stratton said. Previously having been on the Board of The Childhood Trust in Chapel Hill and The Arts Center in Carrboro, Stratton is dedicated to community. Tim and his wife, Cindy, have recently become empty-nesters and reside in Chatham County with their rescue pets after raising their family in Chapel Hill.

COMMERCIAL LOAN OFFICER AND
RELATIONSHIP MANAGER IN
ALAMANCE COUNTY
BURLINGTON, N.C. …Clark Bennett, a long time Elon resident and Elon University graduate, has joined Select Bank & Trust as a Commercial Loan Officer and Relationship Manager for the greater Alamance County area.
Bennett will be responsible for business development and commercial lending enabling the bank to continue its steadfast commitment to the Alamance County area. Bennett was a 15-year BB&T banker in various areas of commercial financing and most recently spent 6 years refereeing NCAA college basketball. Bennett has made the move back into banking, happy to work with his clients and provide the common-sense approach to banking that Select Bank is known for.

His community commitment and knowledge partnered with his relationship management and commercial banking skills will play an integral part in allowing our bank to continue to serve this market well” said Thomas E. Married to his college sweetheart, Kathryn, for 23 years, Clark and Kathryn have 2 daughters who are both currently Elon University students, following in the footsteps of their parents. Clark is a Board member for the Piedmont/Triad Chapter of the American Red Cross, a member of the Town of Elon Planning & Zoning board, and a Chairman of the Town of Elon Downtown Development Advisory Board. In his free -time you’ll find Clark spending time with his family, exercising, tailgating for Elon football and taking in any professional or college sports that he can.
