All spotting agents under 1 to 7 can easily be rinsed without additional treatment and may also be used aspre- or post-spotters. The spotting agents under 8 to 10 are post-spotters and can only be flushed out with steam or water. In case of sensitive fabrics, dyes and printed design, it is strongly advised to test on a hidden seam before spotting. For further details see our relevant safety data sheets (MSDS) as well as our technical data sheets (TDS).

Spotting agents for pre- and post-spotting

Quickol is a favorite agent that solubilizes felt pen, latex paint, nail polish, lipstick, tar, smear, ballpoint pen, shoe polish, skin cream, grease, wax, carbon paper, olive oil, vegetable oils found in salad dressings, medicine, ointments, mineral oil, mayonnaise, cod-liver oil and similar stains.

Application:Apply Quickol on the stain and treat with a soft brush or gently using the spatula orthe spotting pistol. In case of aged or stubborn stains which are difficult to remove, soak and solubilize under a longer influence of this product. Minor stains shouldbe treated with Quickol on the spotting table. After treatment flush out Quickol inthe drycleaning machine or with water on the stain removal board.

For safety reasons:Quickol should not be flushed indrycleaning machines operated withhydrocarbon or silicon solvents. In general, Quickol should be used on the post-spotting table only. Do notuse on coatings or laminations asthis might cause damage. In casesof sensitive fabrics, dyes and printeddesign, it is strongly advised to teston a hidden seam before spotting!

Spotting agents may be intermixed forspeed and effectiveness.

Pre- and post-spotting agent for wet- and grease-bound stains

This Complete Super Spotting Line (7 bottle kit) enables simple, quick and all around spot removal.

The spotting agents in the colored bottles are compatible with one another and can be flushed out in

pre-spotting or in the perchloroethylene machine.

When used in post-spotting, rinse out with water or by means of the steam pistol.

Purasol

Quickol

Purasol solubilizes adhesives, paint, lacquer, oil, grease, wax, smear, tar, nail polish, ballpoint pen or chewing gum.

Purasol evaporates quickly and does not harm acetate silk.

Application:Apply Purasol on the stain and treat with a soft brush. In case of tenacious stainsubstances like e.g. chewing gum or adhesive, repeat operation several times and,in case of need, work with a spotting spatula. Since Purasol quickly evaporates, rinsing is not necessary, generally speaking. In case of appearance of marks, usesteam pistol and dry with compressed air to get rid of them.

For safety reasons:Purasol must never get into drycleaningmachines operated with hydrocarbon or silicon solvents. In general, Purasolshould be used on the post-spottingtable only. Do not use on coatingsor laminations as this might causedamage. In cases of sensitive fabrics, dyes and printed design, it is stronglyadvised to test on a hidden seambefore spotting!

For safety reasons:Lacol is not designed for drycleaningmachines operated with hydrocarbon or silicon solvents. In general, Lacol, should be used on the post-spottingtable only. Lacol may be harmful toacetate fibre fabrics. Test on coatingsor laminations as this might causedamage. In cases of sensitive fabrics, dyes and printed design, it is stronglyadvised to test on a hidden seambefore spotting!

Ferrol N solubilize rust, verdigris and other metallic oxides.

Application:Apply Ferrol N to the stain and allow to react without any mechanical action.Careful heating with steam will enhance the Ferrol N action. After treatment flushoff the textiles with plenty of water or steam.

Care must be taken as, Ferrol N is caus-tic and must not get into contact withskin, the eyes or glass. Ferrol N shouldbe flushed prior to dry cleaning. As withall rust removers Ferrol N may damagemetal threads or threads with metalliceffect.

Lipasol L is an enzymatic spotting agent which may be applied undilutedfor aged and protein stains such as blood and albumen.

Application:Lipasol L can be used both for local spot removal and bath treatment. In case ofsignificant stains, apply Lipasol L undiluted. The spotted area must remain moistand warm. In most cases, the spot will be solublilized within 30 minutes and there-after can be rinsed with water or by means of the steam pistol. Occasionally, it mightbe required to repeat the treatment with a longer period of reaction. For bath treat-ment put the garments into a solution of 1 fl.oz of Lipasol L per gallon of water attemperatures of 86 – 104 °F. Lipasol L also supports the stain-solubilizing effect ofwashing agents. In this case, apply Lipasol L undiluted on the spot prior to washing,or add 1 oz per gal of water to the wash-bath.

Do not leave the product more than 10minutes on delicate material like wooland silk without flushing with water.

Ultrasonic Booster

In addition, all other SEITZ post-spotting agents used can be rinsed away with the Ultrasonic Booster.

Application:By pulling the trigger of the Ultrasonic Gun, the Ultrasonic Booster is applied automaticallyand the stains are removed.

In the case of very old stains and stains difficult to remove, all SEITZ pre- and post-spottingchemicals can be used in addition to the Ultrasonic Booster. But only after first trying thechemicals on a piece of the material – such as a concealed seam or hidden hem.

When using the Ultrasonic Gun on the post-spotting table, the stain substance and the spotting agent can be rinsed and drawn off immediately by means of the Ultrasonic Gun.

For further details see our relevant safety data sheets (MSDS) as well as our technical datasheets (TDS).

The Ultrasonic Booster is appliedfor removal of all kinds of grease-bound stains and has a pleasantfresh fragrance.

It serves as the transfer mediumbetween the ultrasonic head, theUltrasonic Gun and the fabric. Dueto the high frequency vibrationsof the Ultrasonic Gun, heat is pro-duced at the stainless steel nozzle. The Ultrasonic Booster cools downthe nozzle and acts as a liquidshield protecting the fabric. In this way, sensitive materials likesilk or wool can readily be treated.

Ultrasonic Gun

In combination with the UltrasonicBooster, the Ultrasonic Gun willremove a wide variety of stainsby generating high frequency ultra-sonic pulse vibrations.

The stainless steel nozzle hasbeen designed so that it will applyconcentrated ultrasonic oscillationsrather than mechanical forces in thetreatment of small stained areas orsurfaces.

In order to avoid fibre damage, the Ultrasonic Gun must not bedirected for too long at the samearea and should never be usedwithout the Ultrasonic Booster.
