Short project description

In the ACRP project STELLA we will investigate how future land use (especially forest) and climate can be coupled by the creation of so called „storylines“ which describe possible future conditions.In a second step we want to simulate the effects of this „storylines“ on the water cycle (especially snow) of the alpine catchment. Therefore we implement a canopy module to the hydrological model WaSiM in order to simulate inside-canopy-processes such as interception and changed meteorology.

Snow height data analysis

Installed ultrasonic snow height sensors record snow height every hour. They suffer from temperature-related oscillations during daytime and show some invalid records

Actually I‘m looking for a easy method to correct this data comparing it to the snow height observations (daily) done by an observer of the Hydrographical Service at a nearby station.
