SEEING LIGHT:An Interdisciplinary Approach to Lighting Design

"To design light, you must ‘see’ light first. Because the way light illuminates an object or person shapes our impressions and understanding of what we are seeing, the audience will be treated to a hands-on demonstration of the physical properties of light; intensity, angle, color and their application in design. Drawing inspiration from theater and the fine arts, dramatic lighting techniques will be explored in creating focus, contrast, and mood."
