Security Support Specialist (Badging Officer)Red Five Protection Services – Santa Clara, CARed Five Protection Services is seeking security support specialists to provide administration, reception, clerical and project support in order to ensure that security services are provided in an effective and efficient manner.

POSITION DETAIL

TITLE: Security Support Specialist

LOCATION: San Francisco Bay Area – South Bay;; Santa Clara

Please note: Local Candidates Only. No relocation will be offered in

connection with this position.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

• Current BSIS Guard Card• At least two years of experience in the security field, including one year in badging or as a security receptionist or lobby officer• Superior oral and written communication skills in English. • Excellent customer service skills.• Excellent computer skills, especially with badging hardware and software (Lenel OnGuard and / or Quantum Secure SAFE)• Demonstrated ability to operate various badging applications and access control systems software

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Staff the front lobby security reception desk and greet employees, contractors, and all visitors.• Provide assistance in a courteous and professional manner.• Manage the entire badging process, including assisting personnel with their badge paperwork and verifying ID and that paperwork is completed and meets all requirements before issuing a badge• Operate and maintain badging system• Control access to restricted areas and produce access reports• Troubleshoot badges that are not working properly and replace any lost, stolen, defective, or broken badges• Support international badge requests• Interact professionally with employees, contractors, and all visitors to the client’s facilities, as well as with colleagues in the Operations Center and on patrol

• Prepare and maintain records of badging activity and metrics
