SECTION – A
PLAN OF ACTION CHALKED OUT BY THE IQAC IN THE BEGINNING OF
THE YEAR 2011-12 TOWARDS QUALITY ENHANCEMENT
The IQAC meat several times and worked out detailed programme for the continual
improvement in academics, curricula, infrastructure and healthy practices.

industries, Financial Institutions, and assigned the

We form internal squad while conducting University Examinations. The college conducts
preparatory examinations on a regular basis. Departments on their own do continuous
evaluation by conducting regular tests, giving assignments, model question papers and Solving
previous question papers etc

As token of respect GURUVANDANA programme was held on teacher’s day and

held at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.

meet, secured first place in shot put and fifth place in discuss throw.

Rajshekar N IV Sem B Com represented national level Kabaddi tournament held at
Pune and he represented Karnataka State and won the prize.
Revanna.M VI B.A Represented Banglore University athletic meet. He won III place
in marthon. He represented National Level Athletic meet held at Mombai. He
represented KARNATAK in National Level Foot Ball and Won prize.
34. Incentives to Outstanding Sports Person:
Track Suit and Track Shoes are provided to Sports Personalities
Conveyance and Also Accommodation Allowances provided by college to sports
persons.
Sports person are also encouraged to take training in reputed organizations.

36. Activities of the Guidance and Counseling Unit:
Department wise student induction programme were held at the beginning of every
academic year and highlighting the importance of their respective discipline.
Informal counseling has been done by identifying irregular Students, absentees
and slow learners.
Students are encouraged to take up aptitude-tests.
Students are trained for competitive exams.
Remedial classes are held for slow learners.

Management of our college has awarded cash of Rs.4,00.000 under students aid fund
scheme.
Few Departments have instituted cash awards for meritorious students in their respective
subjects.

Talents day, ethnic day, inter class competitions are conducted to imbibe the spirit of
competition and confidence to the students.
Large number of students represents the college in various intercollegiate fest and
seminars.
Management celebrates Teacher Day and felicitates the achievers.
Management has provided Gratuity facility to all the management paid employees.
ESI facility is made available by the management for the management paid employees
who draw a monthly salary of Rs.15,000/- or less.
Management has provided student safety Insurance policy covering Insurance for the
students against Accidents.

Office bearers and members of Management are rendering honorary service for the
cause of education without any financial benefits.

The projects in chemistry and physics carried in linkage with Institutions like Indian
Institute of Science, National Refferal Center for Lead Pioson, India, Quality Council of India and
Reaserch lab of the KSPCB.

Students were encouraged to take up mini projects in Science stream
and Commerce stream.

Community services I NSS Unit of our college is actively participating in various Community services
1. NSS - NSS Volunteers were trained in the HIV/AIDS Peer Educators program in college
auditorium
2. They took Tree Plantation Camp at Spoorthi Vana Thippagondanahalli reservoir as
environment awareness program/
3. Blood donation Camp was conducted in association with Red Cross and Lion Club.
4. Weekly NSS activities like Camps cleaning , and visiting nearby Slums to educate them about
Cleanness and health is continued .
5. Organised camp at Sri Satya Sai Institute of Medical science and served patients in the
hospital
II NCC - During this academic year enrolment has been increased to 160
cadets . Cadets actively attended cadre training program and learned different kinds of
Drills and Weapon operation theory
1. Our Cadets attended Camp at Kolar and won prizes in various cultural and sports events
conducted during the camp 1st

2. SHRMADANA One day Social service was organized to educate the villagers about health

2. An exhibition on Handicrafts and food without fire was arranged and prizes were distributed to
students to encourage the students
