In the Post Office Bath Directory 1911: Evans Arthur Edward, fried fish shop, 8, Abbey gate street British Army Attestation record dated 18 Sep 1911: Francis Albert Millard, born Abbey Gate, Bath, aged 17 years 5 months, biscuit baker, Durham Light Infantry. There was a second attestation dated 21 Nov 1911, aged 17 years 7 months with occupation seaman and a certification that he had no relations alive only one younger brother and no guardians (date 20 Nov 1911). The records also have a fragment of a letter to Mrs H Evans of Ferndale, 53, Newbridge Road, Weston, Bath concerning forwarding of personal property. She leaves two sons, Mr. W. Hayes, who is in business in London, and Mr. Thomas Hayes, who is in business at Walcot; and two daughters, one married and onne, Miss Daisy Hayes, who lives at home. Miss Daisy Hayes is a Sunday School teacher at Manvers Street Chapel, and is chaplain to the Bath branch of the Good Templars. In 1856 the partnership of Keniston and Shalders, Southampton, ironmongers was dissolved. In Perry’s Bankrupt Gazette of Sat 6 Dec 1856: “KENISTON James and John SHALDERS, of Southampton, ironmogers, cutlers, smiths, & bellhangers, 1st Oct. Debts by Shalders.” No death registration found for James Keniston. In the 1861 census at 3 Old Bond Street, Bath: Harriett Keniston, aged 45, widow, hosier & draper, born at Brinscombe (Glos), four children and a servant.
