marking shall be incorporated: · Manufacturer's serial no. · VDS identification (e.g. GTAC10R).

The marking shall be made on a stainless steel UNS S31600 (AISI type 316) identification plate of minimum size 50mm x 25mm permanently fixed to the valve with corrosion resistant wire (e.g. UNS S31600). Plate thickness shall be of minimum 0.4mm thickness. Marking directly onto the valve body shall be executed with low stress stamps. Marking on weld bevels, flange faces or surfaces that will be hidden following fabrication, assembly or installation, is not allowed.

31.10.02 Flowdirection shall be marked on valves with Preferred Flow. Valves with double piston effect shall be marked which side this seat is installed on the valve.

prevented from moving through more than 90 degrees. Wrench operated valves shall be supplied complete with locking facilities to enable use of padlocks in the open and closed positions. Lever-operated butterfly valves shall have throttling levers of the notched plate design to allow positive positioning in a maximum number of intermediate positions (throttling).

413 20.06.94 All > = 2": Handwheels on valves, including gear operators shall be

permanently marked "Open/Closed" with an arrow to indicate direction of rotation. The valves shall be fitted with a gearbox when the following breakaway forces are exceeded:

handwheel or gearbox. The actuator is not part of this specification. b) Rising stem valves shall have plain stem without threads (depending on type of actuator). The valve stem shall be finished to suit actuator type and adaption. The adaption should conform to ISO 5211 or 5210 as relevant unless agreed differently with Company. Dowl pin shall be used to align actuator to the valve top flange. The dowl pin shall be able to withstand the actuator operational loads, and prevent possible sharing of adaption bolting. c) Actuator operated API 6D expanding gate valves which are used as double isolation valve shall have a mechanical locking device, for local release only, in order to lock the valve in closed position. d) When a fully closed adaption piece between valve and actuator is used, it shall be fitted with an inspection hole to detect stem leakage, also preventing pressure build up in adaptor. Normally the hole shall be sealed with a suitable plastic plug.

419 20.06.94 Option K for through conduit slab-and double expanding parallel

sliding gate valve (actuator operated only): For manual operated valves the valves shall be opened when the

stem is in the raised stem position. This is also the preferred design for actuator Operated valves unless the combined function and design of the valve/actuator is more feasible by designing the gate for closed in raised stem position. For this reason the option K is introduced: Option K: Gate closed in stem raised position.

31.10.02 Carbon steel valves and gearboxes in carbon steel and cast iron shall, as a minimum be primed according to ConocoPhillips Doc. No.4293; "Surface protection and protective coating".

20.09.99 Externally exposed components in austenitic stainless steel shall minimum be of type 316 (L) SS.

20.09.99 Fabrication welding of pressure retaining components and attachments welded onto those components shall be carried out according to NORSOK Standard M 601, "Welding and Inspection of Piping Systems". Welding of other valve components shall be carried out according to welding procedure specifications to ASME IX.

31.10.02

Assembly drawing of the valve shall be supplied with the bid, and shall at least show:

• All parts of the valve with material standard and grade, MDS when specified in the VDS and manufacturers part number.

• All welds including hard facing and overlay with reference to applicable welding procedure.

• Overall dimensions. • Weight. • Manufacturers name and grade of soft material. • Certified lifting lugs • Top work detail drawings/interface drawing

20.09.99 All valves with graphite stem packing, density of graphite to be 1.3

to 1.7 g/cm3. 20.09.99 For all valves with O-ring or lip-seal: Back-up rings for O-rings or lip-seals

When back-up rings are utilised due to design considerations the material shall be PEEK (polyetheretherketone) or PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene).

COPNO 003

31.10.02 Carbon steel valves used in corrosive hydrocarbon service and water injection service, SHALL have corrosion resistant weld overlay in accordance with EDS NHF7. The weld overlay shall be applied on all critical seal areas of the valve including all valvebody outlets.
