LIMITED Issue 1 REV 2 Page 1/4 FLEET OPERATION MANUAL Date 20.04.2012 ONSHORE ORGANIZATION SECTION 3.1 3.1 Onshore organization 3.1.1 Functions of Onshore Organization The On shore organization has the following minimum functions: 1) To ensure that ships under management are maintained: Safe for Shipboard personnel Safe for property Safe for the environment Safe for cargo 2) To ensure that Lifesaving, Fire fighting, Cargo, Navigation, Pollution Prevention and Utility equipment on board managed vessels is maintained in optimum operational condition. 3) To ensure that statutory, insurance and trading certificates remain valid. 4) To ensure that managed vessels are always manned with a number of qualified, certified and medically fit crew, in accordance with the rules of the relevant Administrations, as necessary to ensure the vessel’s safe operation but always in accordance with the minimum safe manning certificate issued by the relevant Administrations. 5) To provide the vessel with stores and spares required for maintenance. 6) To provide technical assistance for repairs, servicing and calibration of ship’s equipment. 7) To provide the ship’s staff with updated information regarding latest regulations, Guidelines and modern operational procedures. 8) To monitor performance of ship’s staff and contribute to their further development. 9) To monitor suppliers’ performance and ensure that supplies to vessels conform to specification. 10) To provide support in emergency situations on board. 3.1 Onshore organization

3.1.1 Functions of Onshore Organization

The On shore organization has the following minimum functions:

1) To ensure that ships under management are maintained:

Safe for Shipboard personnel Safe for property Safe for the environment Safe for cargo

2) To ensure that Lifesaving, Fire fighting, Cargo, Navigation, Pollution Prevention and Utility equipment on board managed vessels is maintained in optimum operational condition.

13) To ensure that seafarers are provided with a safe, secure and healthy working environment.

3.1.2 CompositionOn-Shore Personnel providing important support services to managed vessels are identified as follows:

3.1.3 DUTIES ASSIGNED UNDER ISM CODE AND ISO 9001:2008. Under the ISM code the duties and responsibilities of the “Designated Person Ashore” are assigned to SQM Manager.Under the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 the duties and responsibilities of “Management Representative” are assigned to SQM Manager.

3.1.4 Designated Person Ashore and duties under ISM code.The "designated person ashore" has direct access to the top management, monitors the safety and pollution prevention aspects of the operation of each managed vessel, ensures that adequate resources and appropriate shore-based support are provided as required and is a link between the Company and vessels.

3.1.4.1 Duties of Management RepresentativeThe “management representative” is responsible for

a) ensuring that processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented and maintained,

b) reporting to top management on the performance of the quality management system and any need for improvement, and

c) Ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
