In implementing our Cargo Operation Policy we will For All Ships:- - Safely Load, Stow And Discharge Cargo - Comply with all applicable international and local legislation. - Not commence cargo operations in unsafe berths and terminals and where ship-shore information has not been exchanged and communications established. - Not load cargo without proper Marine Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) - Ensure vessel is securely moored during cargo operations. - Use only intrinsically safe equipments in tankers/gas tankers and in hazardous areas in dry vessels when carrying explosive substance. - Not exceed load density at any stage and maintain vessel within recommended stability and stress limits. Additionally For Tankers:- - Not discharge Crude Oil or Petroleum Products without an operational Inert Gas System for ships required to be fitted with an Inert Gas Plant, except when the flash point exceeds 60 Deg C.

1.14 CARGO OPERATION POLICY Univan recognizes the importance of carrying out safe and efficient handling of all cargo related matters for vessels under its management.
