Applicable For: Certified Instructional Staff (Teachers, Librarians and Paras)

Purpose: Provide instructional and technical support to teachers and students in their use of digital resources for academic achievement

Responsible For:

• Providing monthly training to teachers in instructional technology strategies that is aligned with the school improvement and technology integration plans

• Attending mandatory District Site Technology Contact meetings (4) annually to maintain network administrative rights and continue to serve in assignment the following year.

• Sustaining the delivery of communications from ISS/Instructional Technology to building level stakeholders in a timely fashion

• Setting up various digital devices (computers, printers, interactive boards, internet etc.) and conduct basic troubleshooting techniques

• Being skilled in the use of the district helpdesk system and complete work orders as needed • Assisting in the inventory of digital devices to ensure assets are documented

Work Orders with ISS 

I. There are 3 ways to put in a work order with ISS:  

Call the Help Desk at 746‐6300  Email all information to the Help Desk at [email protected]  Login to CA To open CA Service Desk open internet explorer browser and type the address http://isssupport.tulsaschools.org . The CA Service Desk Login page opens in your web browser. Enter the appropriate user ID and password in the text boxes provided, (the Login ID and password is your network userid and password) then click Login.

Work Orders with Facilities 

I. To put in a work order with Facilities:  

Go to http://facilities.tulsaschools.org.   Type your Site’s User Name and password, (site based, and not your 5x2) ALL CAPS‐case sensitive 

Click on the TPS Logo and begin putting in your work order  If you can’t get in to submit a form call Maintenance at 918‐833‐800 0  All work orders must be submitted through the online Request website!

FastPass Password Manager   A Self‐Service Client for resetting passwords and unlocking accounts without calling the Help Desk. 

 It is easily accessed from three locations:   1. The Employees tab on the TPS website at 

http://www.tulsaschools.org/:   2. Log‐in page for WebMail at 

https://webmail.tulsaschools.org. Simply click on  the “Click here” link at the bottom of the page:

Once you enroll, you may reset or change your password or unlock your account whenever necessary. 

 

First, click on “Enroll User” to register in FastPass.  Enter your Windows User ID (5x2) and the code displayed at the bottom of the panel. Then it will ask for your password.

To Enroll User     simply select and answer three questions. Click on the drop‐down arrow to see the list of questions, select one question, and enter your answer twice for Questions #1, #2, and #3.

Online PREMIUM DIGITAL system for enVisionMATH©2011

Directions: If you have registered online at www.pearsonsuccessnet.com and currently have a log in User ID and Password simply follow directions to ADD product, to add the PREMIUM DIGITAL product codes for enVisionMATH©2011. If you have not registered online, then teachers will simply REGISTER by using these new Premium Digital Product codes to access the enVisionMATH©2011 materials and interactive resources.

Directions for Adding the PREMIUM DIGITAL product codes to your existing teacher account.

1. Log into www.pearsonsuccessnet.com using your current Teacher User ID and Password.

2. On the top right corner of your Teacher Center select My Account. 3. Scroll down and select Manage Products. 4. Select Add New Products on the top right corner. 5. Enter the Product Access Code. 6. Click Check Code. 7. Click Save. 8. Log out and then log back in using your current Teacher User ID and

Password and you will see the new Premium Digital System assets.

Teachers can go to mypearsontraining.com to view online tutorial videos to learn more about the Premium Digital System 24/7 from any computer that has internet access (school or home). Select the Elementary Tab at the top. Select enVisionMATH©2011 for a list of online tutorials. Sample:

Initiating or Accessing a Conference

I Have Received Safari Live Training and Want to Start a Conference:

Go to http://safarilive.tulsaschools.org

Username: TPS 5x2

Password: Your TPS Password

**Check the box that says LDAP User**

After you have logged in, select the type of session you want to start. Once you get into the session, copy the link, and email that link to the individual(s) you are inviting to the conference.

I Want to Join a Conference Someone Else Has Initiated (NO TRAINING REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN SUCH):

The person setting up the conference will email you a link. Click on the link, and you will be taken to the conference without hav-ing to log in.

If you are accessing a conference which has been recorded, the person who has recorded the conference may post the link on a web-site. To view that broadcast, just click on the link and you will be taken to the previously recorded session.

After clicking the link to join the video conference, you will enter the session. A Legal Notice will appear—Click “I AGREE”

Logging In

Maximize your window by pressing the F11 key on the top row of your keyboard

If you experience a screen freezing, press the F5 key on the top row of your keyboard

A “Getting Started” pop-up will display; click Close.

IF you don’t want this to pop-up to occur every time you begin a sessions, UNCHECK this box.

If you are joining a session, you have the option to change the way your name will appear in the session. By default your name will appear as “Guest”

Replace Guest with your name — and click the “Change” button.

Quick Session: Start a session immediately

Schedules a Session: Schedules for a later date. Allows you to get link to send to participants.

View Schedule: See all sessions that you have created. (Rooms can be used multiple times)

View Recordings: View list of all sessions recorded. This is where the link is to send to others of a recorded session.

One on One—Both People come in with broadcast rights. Only 2 people can be in the room

Instructor– Participants —

1-Moderator as many other people as needed can join. They will join as participants

Inside a Conference Room

Cog Wheel

Appearing in a Conference—Audio/Video

1. You don’t have to have a web cam to participate in a conference

2. You can upload an image file to serve as a place holder by clicking on the Cog Wheel Menu button and select Upload Image

• Locate an image file in My Pictures and select OPEN

• Return to the Cog Wheel Menu, Select Broadcast Type and select Picture

3. Until you have moderator rights, your picture will not be seen by others

• The trainer will now broadcast you

4. Once uploaded, you may need to adjust the image so that it appears neatly in the Audio/Video window

5. By clicking on the Cog Wheel Menu button, select Shape & Size

• Depending on the original state, you will select from Widescreen, Portrait or Landscape and then small, medium or large. You will have to play with it since every image will appear dif-ferently.

Inside a Conference Room

You can make a request to the Admin/Moderator that you wish to speak by clicking on the Start Broadcast button.

The Admin will give you give you Moderator rights and your image will then appear in the Audio/Video Window.

1. Connect your webcam

2. Until you have Audio/Video rights, your webcam will not be seen by others

• Your web cam is a “plug and play” device

• Your web cam has a built-in microphone

1. Go to the Cog Wheel Menu, Select Broadcast Type and select Camera

2. You may need to go to the Setting Menu and Select Camera and select the USB Camera Option

3. Now your webcam will replace your picture

Download files posted to the conference by the moderator

• Click on the file name—it will be highlight in green

• Click the SAVE button

• Save file in a location of your preference

• YOU CAN NOT OPEN THE FILE WHILE IN THE CONFERENCE

Participants

List all participant in the conference

• Green = Admin

• Blue = Moderator. Leads the conference and has control of room. Initiates the conference. Can give moderator rights to conference attendees.

• Yellow = Participant. Can only view, raise hand • Gray = Observer. No ability to participate.
