Research: Scoot Nation Article: Ross Bazz | Young Blood I came across an article in a scootering magazine called Scoot Nation that was sort of a similar style to how I want my video to come across as. The article was about a young unknown shredder named Ross Bazz. The headline for the article is his name then there is like a sub-headline which is young blood. The article is about a young rider that blew Josh and Tim’s (people involved with Scoot Nation) mind when they visited the works Skatepark. The kid is unsponsored but threw down some crazy tricks, so they decided to include him in their photo shoot. Then after talking to him decided to record an interview with him and feature it in the magazine. There was a full double page spread then another half page dedicated to him. The first page was the start of the interview with the big headline and 2 columns of writing, and then the following page was a full A4 size shot of Ross in action. Then the page just after the double page spread is the remainder of the interview, another action shot of him riding its 3 columns of writing and a pull quote. After reading the interview with Ross it related to how I wanted my video to flow. It was kind of a similar question structure to how I wanted the interview in my video to be. After reading through it I

Article: Ross Bazz | Young Blood

I came across an article in a scootering magazine called Scoot Nation that was sort of a similar style to how I want my video to come across as.

After reading through it I

realised how I could potentially fully structure my questions and what kind of questions to ask.

They ask questions like how he got into riding, information about his local parks and his current scooter set up and other personal questions involving the sport that people like to hear.

The thing that inspired me most with this article was the fact that no one knows this kid. He isn’t sponsored and has never been recognised before. And having a massive company like Scoot Nation notice you and want to feature you in their magazine is a big deal. It is nice to read about people like this that don’t get noticed but are really good. This is how I want my video to be, it isn’t about somebody who is sponsored, it is almost like a video version of this article just involving a different

person. I would want people to be interested and want to keep on watching the video even if they don’t know the person in it. Because at the end of the day if someone is good they they’re fun to watch. It’s obviously apparent that someone doesn’t have to be sponsored by a really good company for people to have an interest. Like I read the whole of this article and I have no idea who this kid is. But I found it impressive and good to read to be honest. This is one of the main reasons why it has impacted on my video as I feel now that it could genuinely be successful if it is done in the correct kind of way.
