He died Wednesday, June 5. Ramirez Johnny Rothbauer Ramirez, 81, of Beeville, died Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Mr. Ramirez was born Jan. 17, 1938, in Beeville to Charlie L. and Louisa Anna (Rothbauer) Ramirez Sr. He married Maria Elena Arrisola on April 26, 1959, in Beeville a n d was the owner of Johnny’s Paint and Body Shop, which he operated since 1963. He was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Charlie Ramirez Jr., Antonio Ramirez, Rudy Ramirez and David Ramirez; and two sisters, Alice Moran and Mae Pacheco. Survivors include his wife, Mary A. Ramirez of Beeville; a daughter, Sabrina R. Moreno of Beeville; three sons, Johnny A. Ramirez Jr. and Joe (Olivia) Ramirez, both of Beeville, and Stanislaus (Figen) Ramirez of Houston; three sisters, Frances (Tony) Garza of Corpus Christi, and Elva (Rey) Hernandez and Delia (Vito) Greco, both of Houston; 11 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchil- dren. Visitation will be held today (Friday) from 1 to 5 p.m. at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel and resume at 6 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church with a rosary recited there at 7 o’clock. Viewing will also be held Saturday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to noon. The funer- al Mass will be cele- brated at 2 o’clock that afternoon at St. James Catholic Church with Father Jacob Valayath officiating. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park. Weather Summary OBITUARIES By Paul Gonzales Special to the Bee-Picayune SINTON – Another arrest has been made in connection with the body of Alfredo Vasquez, 27, which was recov- ered in a creek on County Road 2004 near Portland. According to the San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office, Vincent Loya Beltran Jr. was arrested on Odom Street in Corpus Christi Tuesday afternoon by U.S. mar- shals and charged with aggravated rob- bery in connection with a home invasion which occurred in Ingleside a few weeks back. On May 23, Belynda Nadine Pena Garcia, 29, also was charged with aggra- vated robbery related to the home inva- sion. According to the sheriff’s office, digi- tal evidence processed along with DNA evidence show a relationship between the home invasion robbery and the body found floating in a creek. The office also recovered a vehicle they believe was used in the home invasion and said their forensic investigators are in Austin processing the vehicle. The sheriff’s office stated that a sil- ver car in their custody was apparently used when the body was dumped near Portland. Investigators from San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office along with Ingleside Police Department are working with the U.S. Marshal’s Office to locate one other suspect involved in the crime.
