OVERVIEW

Coming back for the second year of the PHARMACEUTICAL SUMMIT ON BUSINESS AND COMPLIANCE ISSUES IN MAN-AGED MARKETS, we see that there has been no slow-down in the issues or the attention being paid to the pricing and contracting arrangements for pharmaceuticals. Increasingly pharmaceutical and medical device companies are

operating in a rapidly changing marketplace involving PBMs, formularies, health insurance exchanges, value-based pur-chasing arrangements and new and innovative forms of risk-sharing and incentive arrangements. The Summit will focus on the context and structuring of such arrangements, including clinical, actuarial, contractual and legal and regulatory issues. Pharmaceutical and medical device business leaders need to become familiar with the trends and policy reforms being advocated to support value-based contracting. Pharmaceutical and medical device compliance professionals and in-house counsel need to become acquainted with the marketplace developments and to integrate new ethics and compliance standards best practices in response to these developments into company compliance programs.

In addition, this Summit will overlap with the National Medical Affairs Compliance Summit (June 26-27). That agenda is available at www.MedicalAffairsSummit.com. These events are offered in sequence with a joint plenary session on June 27. You can register for both Summits and benefit from a discounted rate on registration.
