Maintenance-free run-ning for more economicefficiency
The SECCANT regenerativedryer effectively protectspipelines and valves fromcorrosion, icing and dirt.
Long running periods andmaintenance-free operationmake the application particu-larly economical.
To achieve maximum effi-ciency, the SECCANT is desi-gned for continuous run-ning.
Air/gas is constantly availa-ble. Operational interrup-tions due to changing filtercartridges, which arenecessary with standard f il-ter systems, are thereforeeliminated.When running intermit-tently, rinsing times arenot needed.
Regeneration merely needs apartial stream of maximum5% of the dried medium.
The pressure vessels aredesigned and manufacturedaccording to most nationaland international specifica-tions for acceptance.
Optional: With the help of an
additional filter housing con-taining activated carbon,breathing air quality accor-ding to DIN EN 12021 can beobtained.

The condensate separator
removes condensed water andoil drops from the incomingflow of air/gas.

The dryer chambers
are connected in a push-pulloperation. The incomingair/gas flow is dried in the firstchamber (e.g in left fig.) usinga partial stream with alreadydried air, the second chamberis being regenerated (e.g inright f ig.).The regenerating air is chan-
nelled through the chargedadsorption medium and rege-nerates the adsorber with thehelp of the partial decrease ofline pressure.

The change-over module
consists of main stream - as well
as regeneration stream checkvalves and compensates thepressure between the dryingchambers with a well desi-gned change-over.

The filter housing
with activated carbonremoves oil vapour andhydrocarbons from theairflow.The treated air correspondsin quality to pure air inaccordance withDIN EN 12021.(Optional in the regenerativedryers of the SECCANT 3A / 4A
range).

The particle f ilter
filters all particles from driedand deoiled air. Subsequentlythe air/gas flow is directed via
a pressure maintaining/check-valve to the connectedsystems.

The shut-off valve
for the regenerating air closesduring pressure compen-sation and when theSECCANT is switched off.
This allows a change-overwithout pressure drop inthe system and stops thehumidity penetrating fromoutside.

At the same time SECCANT'SB-CONTROL communicateswith the compressor's respec-tive unit control:
At start and stop the com-
pressor unit sends SECCANTan On/Off signal. SECCANTpermanently monitors itselfduring operation and sendsthe compressor a releasesignal.
If a release signal is notreceived, due to necessarymaintenance for example,the compressor is automa-tically stopped.
If the compressor unit isequipped with a B-CONTROLextended control andconnected to SECCANT via aCAN-Bus, online control andonline monitoring of SECCANTand the compressor unit canbe realised via an external
control room.As an SPC control B-CONTROLensures the unit can be pro-grammed according to custo-mer requirements.

The appropriate configu-ration for each purpose
The four models 3, 3A,4 and 4 A of BAUER' SSECCANT range offer acustom-made system solu-tion for dehumidification
as well as purifying air,inert gases and rare gases.
When wiring in the conven-tional way up to three com-pressors can be connectedto the SECCANT, when usinga CAN-Bus as many com-pressors needed to obtainthe maximum delivery
quantity can be connected.
Interconnected operationcan be achieved with helpof the B-CONTROL using aCAN-Bus.
Two SECCANT and 2 com-pressors can be installed incrosswise operation. Thatway, for maintenance modeany combinations betweenthe connected compressorsand SECCANT are possible.
For strictly continuousoperation solutions, whereprocesses do not allow any
interruptions, there is alsothe possibility of a combinationusing a BAUER P rangebypass filter system.
