This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious how

quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it?

It looks so plain you would think nothing was wrong

with it! In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is unusual

though. Study it, and think about it, but you still may

not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you

might find out! Try to do so without any coaching!

    Fans of Blume's novels have

praised her use of real-lifesettings, ambivalent endingsand gentle humor. Her

allegedly ambiguous treatmentof moral issues made her atone time a regular target of

school library censors and thereligious right.

Divorce laws have changed since I wrote thisbook. You don't have to go to Nevada or

anyplace else to be divorced these days. Moststates have no-fault divorce laws. And unlikeKaren's mother in this book, many womenhave jobs outside the home, regardless of

whether or not they're married or havechildren. Not that new laws or having twoworking parents makes divorce easy. It stillhurts. It still causes the same fears andfeelings Karen experiences in this story.

When I have love and peace inside, happiness just comes,

Happiness is a state of peace in which there is no upheaval or violence

Give happiness and take happinessWhen there is a feeling of hope, there is happiness.

Good wishes for everyone ~ give others your happiness from inside.

Happiness naturally comes with pure and selfless actions.

Lasting happiness is a state of contentment within.

When one is content with oneself, happiness comes automatically.

When my words express give flowers instead of thorns,I create a happier world

    Happiness follows giving happiness

    Sorrow follows giving sorrow.
