Mss Jennifer M. Coan, K87MJQ, isthe recipient of the 1994 0TVARCScholarship. Jennifer is a graduate ofSunset High School where she earned a3.58 GPA in advanced course work.Jennifer was involved in many extracurricular activities at Sunset. includingNational Honor Society, EnvironmentalClub, and a member of the Yearbookstaff. She received several honorsassociated with these activities.
Jennifer was active in the communityas well as at school, including volunteer work at her church and at alocal hospital. She also volunteered three years for communications onthe MS150 Bike Tour. Jennifer is currently attending HardingUniversity in Searcy, Arkansas.
OTVARC is one of the sponsoring clubs which receives proceedsfrom Seal'ac. The OTVARC Board allocates funds for manyworthwhile projects to promote the enhancement of Amateur Radio,with education as a priority. Current projects include books and licensestudy materials for public libraries, and updated training material forAmateur Radio classes. Without the participation of all of thevolunteers, the exhibitors, and registrants, these projects would not bepossible.
