RF.K.3.c Read common high-frequency words by sight (e.g., the, of, to, you, she, my, is, are, do, does).Set-Up:-For best use, laminate each Treasure Hunt sheet or place in dry-erase sleeves -Place in Classroom Library -If possible, set out magnifying glasses and/or pointers

Use:-Student chooses a Treasure Hunt sheet (or you can pre-select based on words they need to work on)-Student chooses any book they would like (does not have to be on their level)-Student uses a magnifying glass or pointer to find the sight words from their sheet in the text-Each time they find a word, they say the word and trace the gray matching word on their sheet-Continue until they have finished the book, and see which word “won”!
