Employment History

Xerox 2013 – 2014Solution Design Engineer: Specializing in (A) robotics / flexible manufacturing technology (B) ink jet technologies (C) additive (3D print) and subtractive manufacturing techniques (D) adhesive technology (E) image capture technologies / techniques and (F) display / projection technologies for product, gaming, and industrial (instructional display) applications; all required to deliver a comprehensive technology investment business plan to senior Xerox executives and customers.

Shutterfly 2005 – 2012Manufacturing Technology Director: Designed the architecture of Shutterfly’s product manufacturing technology suite; to insure the cost effectiveness, robustness and scalability of the company’s manufacturing investments. My day to day mission was to develop comprehensive technology (investment) business plans; to insure that Shutterfly accurately predicted its ROI (return on investment) and obtained the most cost effective technologies / production techniques via which deliver the most popular holiday season products. I work within a team of manufacturing site directors, technician-managers and production managers to insure the efficient operation and maintenance of contrasting manufacturing technologies.

Shutterfly’s seasonal business (model) demands that the company employs hundreds of temporary production workers during the holiday season. This condition (and my intimate familiarity with manufacturing materials, processes, hardware and software) demands that I (often) coordinate training efforts and provide impromptu production management support during the holiday season.
