RESEARCH PROJECTSAutonomous Sorting Conveyor System (Microcontroller Based)

Used the 8051 microcontroller and other components to design a conveyor system that separated items by height, color, and metallic content.

Personal responsibilities included programming separate µcontroller to handle LED, color sensors, and magnetic sensors.

Summer Research: Sun Seeking Solar Panels (Microcontroller Based) Conducted summer long research to determine the best components to revisit a previously completed sun seeking

solar panel. Responsible for researching different microcontrollers and determining which would properly meet the needs of

the project. Automated Conveyor Transportation System (Programmable Logic Controller)

Designed the electrical/control system for an automated, conveyor-driven, transportation system that was used to apply a protective coating to the exposed surfaces of gasoline-powered engines that would be installed in vehicles that operate in marine/high-salt environments.

Integrated PLCs and RSLogix 5000 Ladder Logic to program the logic necessary to complete the function.
