Sea Turtle

You are at Cape Cod. At the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. You pick up a rock. It looks weird. It slips out of your hands. It was a young sea turtle!

Sea turtles are mostly found in the Atlantic ocean.

Sea turtles mostly eat plants. Their favorite food is sea grasses.

Baby sea turtles hatch about 2 months after the mother lays them.

Babies use their egg tooth to break the egg. Babies have to take care of themselves.

Newly Turtles

Almost all people care about sea turtles. There aren’t as many sea turtles as there

used to be. Some people still hunt sea turtles. Sometimes sea turtles get caught in nets.
