Intramural Sports enhance your academic experience by promoting and reinforcing:
• Teamwork and personal accomplishment• Mutual respect and integrity• Competition and re creation• Skill and exercise
Everyone is encouraged to play to the best of their abilities. A win-at-all-cost attitude is inappropriate and is strongly discouraged.

Ever wonder how the
Super Tutors got to be
so SUPER?
Volunteer
and you can be super,
too!
Join us for Wacky Hat
Wednesdays in the Writing
Center!
Ask not what your Writing Center can do for you. Ask what YOU
can do for your Writing Center!
TCC South Campus
Writing Center Volunteer Program
The South Campus Writing Center is excited to announce the launch of our
volunteer program! Faculty, staff, and students can volunteer to help us with a
variety of writing center activities. Whether you are faculty looking for some
professional development, or a student looking for service hours, we have an
option just for you!
Option 1: Tutoring
Qualified faculty and staff can tutor students in the center. If you have tutoring
experience, great! But if not, we offer additional training from the super tutors.
We are especially looking for faculty who can tutor English, speech writing, ESL,
and across disciplines. APA style, anyone?
Option 2: Reception
Faculty, staff, and students can help with reception by answering questions
and scheduling student appointments. If you love working with people, this
option is just for you!
Option 3: Collaborative Projects
Faculty and staff can work with writing center tutors to develop handouts and
other writing-related resources. Faculty can even work with the Super Tutors to
design a super workshop for your classes (And, yes, all things we do are super)!
Option 4: Professional Development
Do you have trouble finding professional development opportunities for staff
and faculty? Look no further than the Writing Center! You can do everything
from serve on our Advisory Committee to present a panel at a conference.
Option 5: Clubs and Events
Faculty, students, and staff can also help plan the end-of-the-year Script party
for Writing Club, or even help us promote fun events like Wacky Hat Wednes-
days! If you like to have fun and bring people together, then this option is for
you!
By volunteering, you contribute to the Writing Center mission, which is to serve
to the best of our ability the TCC South Campus community. If you would like
to volunteer, contact the Super Tutors!
