5 Cs to determine the credit worthiness of a borrower
in the proposal for Enterprise Finance
to ensure against possible default.
1) Character - Reputation- Integrity - Commitment
2) Capacity - Capacity to repay the loan- Examination of income and
their existing commitments
3) Capital - Investment made in business - Large investment by the borrower will act as
deterrent against possible default
4) Collateral - Security cover for the loan - Nature and extent of security
5) Conditions - Interest rate , Principal loan amount , tenure etc
The above 5 important parameters have to be thoroughly examined
in any business proposal
by the credit team and documented in the credit appraisal note.
Let we ensure these few things towards better credit management.
