Beforeusingthisguide,troubleshootthescreentomakesurethatphysicaldamageisactuallypresent-oftentimesimagedistortionandresolutionlinescanbecausedbygraphicscardorprocessorfailuretoo.Faultyvideocablealsocausestheseproblems.

ThereplacementLCDpanelmustbecompatibletoyourlaptopspecifications.Thisincludesscreensize,resolution,back-lightandtheconnectortypeatthebottomofthescreen.Theexactscreenmodelnumbercanbecheckedatthebacksideoftheoriginalscreen.

Handlethereplacementscreenwithcautionasitisfragileandeasilydamagesifdroppedoroverlypressured.Makesuretopoweroffyourlaptopcompletelyanddisconnectfromanyexternalpowersourcepriortobeginningthisprocess.

RemovethebezelbyusingtheiFixitplasticopeningtooltoliftupanedge.

Thebezelistheplasticliningalongtheedgeofthescreen.

Passo2

Finishremovingthebezelbyusingyourhandontheinsideofthescreenandpoppingitoff.

Ifpartofthebezelisstuck,startontheoppositesideandworkyourwaybacktotheareathatisstuck.

Theplasticonthehingeswillpopoffwiththerestofthebezel.

Passo3

Removethe4screwslocatedineachcornerofthescreenusingthePhillips#2screwdriver.

Toreassembleyourdevice,followtheseinstructionsinreverseorder.

Passo4

Peelbackthestickerthatattachestheconnectortothebackofthescreen.

Disconnectthecablethatconnectsthescreentothecomputer.

Theremaybetwocables.

Passo5

Testthenewscreenbyturningitonbeforeputtingthebezelbackon.
