The blessings you receive will be much greater than anything you give!
FAMILIES HELPING FAMILIES Serves the unemployed
and underemployed Single Mother Families and Two-Parent Families at WACC,
as well as in our local community.
Log onto our website and help a specific family by reading about them in a special profile
explaining their situation and urgent needs. The privacy of each family is maintained
by assigning them an identifying number rather than disclosing names.

Help families struggling with urgent
and emergent needs, allowing them to maintain basic necessities: food,
shelter, utilities, medical needs, special needs...and most of all, their
need for compassion and dignity.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
OUR GOAL is to exemplify the motto of
Whittier Area Community Church: “Follow God + Love People.”
OUR MINISTRY is passionate about
assisting families who are unemployed or underemployed: people who need emergency assistance and prayer, as
well as encouragement and a reminder that they are precious to God...so they
are precious to us.
OUR ASSISTANCE includes helping families with monthly payments such as
rent or mortgage payment, car or car insurance, utilities, childcare expenses, medical necessities, groceries, and gas.

I am so grateful for a loving, generous God that we can all call Our Father. I am humbled by what He can create at any time, in any place, in the most austere, simple or beautiful setting. I am in awe of the power of prayer; the power that
comes from sharing our stories with one another; the love of someone for a
complete stranger, and the compassion to follow God and love people because that is what we have been called to do.

that in caring for those in need we are showing love to the God who created and

4. We believe that Families Helping Families
has a mission field no less than those in Es-tonia, Africa, India and Mexico: our mission
field is here in the Whittier area, helping our brothers and sisters who need urgent
or emergency assistance.
