“ENGAGEMENT”

SCRIPTURE

Ephesians 6:14: Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;Ephesians 6:15: And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;Ephesians 6:16: Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.Ephesians 6:17: And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:Ephesians 6:18: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

David and Goliath

I Samuel 17:45: Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.I Samuel 17:46: This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcasses of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.I Samuel 17:47: And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’S, and he will give you into our hands.

5. Maintaining a high expectation of the desired outcome;

6. Knowing and maintaining the big picture of God’s plan and coordinating everything we do think and say with the will of God.

Engagement is a defined activity that comes from a clear concept of:

1. Maintaining a clear view of who God is and His commitment to our success.

2. Knowing whose we are;

3. Knowing and understanding the inevitable results of

an engagement

4. Knowing and utilizing the empowerment of the Holy Spirit;

One last thing…The power of engagement is evidence that God is not only working in you; He is also effectively working through you. Eph 2:10
