The purpose of this presentation is to discuss the worldwide technological advancement in global production of oil and gas.He discussed critical factors like (Resource potential, OFS Capacity, E&P Landscape, Infrastructure, Development constraints) which may help to achieve sustainable development as well as economic viability while proposing Unconventionals globally. He also mentioned the importance of financial capital, good logistic infrastructure, drilling techniques, integrated operations, base production including management that resulted into significant reduction in cost per well in North American plays.He ended his lecture with pointing some technical issues in order to bring systematic changes in Indian policies regarding to shale gas & oil.

shale gas production in Mexico and why its development has been slow even though geologically similar resource across the border in the Eagle Ford play of South Texas have seen enormous levels of investment. He also discussed the specific legal and fiscal regimes under which Mexico plans that the prospective shale gas properties will be leased and developed. Finally, the presentation ended with the pros and cons of the Mexican efforts and how likely they are to result in substantial shale gas development in Mexico.
