Students attending Scriber have access to athletics and classes at their home high
schools, such as music and foreign language, Intra-District and Sno-Isle vocational program offerings, and Running Start

9th Grade Students Each 9th grade student is
enrolled in the 9th grade Academy and 9th grade Entry classes
The focus of the Entry program is to help students understand themselves as learners and to develop and work on their academic and personal goals

9th Grade Students take English, History, Math, and Science together
Mini Courses• Twice a year, between quarters, we have week-long
class. Students get to focus on and earn credit in one subject area for the entire week!
• Some of the mini courses that have been offered include:• Science of Breadmaking• Pottery• Fit Zone• Experiencing Seattle• Unforgettable Films• The 60’s• Digital Photography
Integrated Courses• Advantages:• Team-taught• Integrate curriculum

• INSTEP (Interdisciplinary Studies Environmental Program)
Competency Based Learning• Intended for:• Students who may have failed a class and are
behind • Students who can demonstrate competency in a
subject area, even if they did not pass the class earlier in HS
• Students who are passing all of their classes and want to do more or have more challenge
• Students who would like to finish early
Transportation• There is no district transportation to Scriber
Lake High School• Students living a mile or more from school
will be issued an ORCA Pass that will be reloaded each month
