and desktop publishing. Research shows that creativity, communication and problem-solving will be some of the most desired skills in the future job market. This course will give you the core skills needed to work in both the creative industries and in corporate settings.
Learn the practical skills and knowledge to write content for a range of media, create visual design components, follow the design process, and develop and extend critical and creative thinking skills.
Successful completion of this course will qualify you to work in a variety of roles as either a community radio programmer or presenter, camera and lighting assistant, or sound technician. It will also give you the core skills needed to undertake further
This course is based on units of competency, which have been developed by the media industry to describe the competencies, skills and knowledge required by workers in the industry.

Screen and Media is a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course, delivered to Year 11 and 12 students. The course is worth 2 Preliminary Units and 2 HSC Units. This course does not count towards the ATAR.
