Mazzilli, son of long-time big league Lee Mazzilli, from the New York Mets in a trade earlier today and assigned him to the RailRiders roster. Mazzilli was batting .333 with a run batted in for the Las Vegas 51’s over four games prior to the trade. The Yankees traded outfielder Kendall Coleman to the Mets in return for Mazzilli. BACK TO THE TOP: Chance Adams will make his second start of the season. The right-hander allowed five runs, four of which were earned, on Friday night in the season opener against Syracuse. Adams only surrendered four runs or more four times over 27 starts between two levels last season. DOWN FOR A FEW DAYS: Giovanny Gallegos was placed on the 7-Day Disabled List on Monday. The right- hander pitched one inning on Sunday, allowing one run on one hit with one strikeout and one walk. DEBUT DAY: Rashad Crawford was promoted from Trenton Monday to fill the roster spot created when Giovanny Gallegos was placed on the Disabled List. Crawford was acquired from the Cubs in the July 2016 deal for Aroldis Chapman and has played for Tampa and the Thunder in his year and a half in the Yankees system. The outfielder hit .210 for Trenton last season with five home runs and 32 runs batted in. STRONG STARTS: David Hale worked six scoreless on Sunday and Daniel Camarena followed with four and a third scoreless Monday.
