BC-1306 Transmitter/Receiver (SCR-694) WW2 HF Jeep / Manpack Radio

The BC-1306 is a WW2 radio station that was mounted in American Jeeps or carried as a backpack into battle by American GI's. This fully operational transmitter-receiver pair is from the same 1944 contract, the manufacturer is Rauland, and it is in excellent cosmetic and electrical condition. I personally refurbished the transmitter and receiver, replacing most capacitors and making other minor repairs. The SCR-694 can communicate with the wartime BC-611 walkie-talkie's and the post-war GRC-9 radio sets, as well as many other HF radios.

PE-237 Vibrator Power Supply

The rarest of all BC-1306 accessories, this is the original vibrator power supply that allows the BC-1306 to be operated in a Jeep. This PE-237 is in perfect electrical condition, and it can operate from 6,12 or 24 volt systems. Cosmetically, it is about a 7 out of 10 - not bad for an original unit. Note that the spares compartments are empty, there are no spares included, but I will include the battery cables and connectors shown in the pictures.

Ammo-Can AC Power Supply

I designed and built this power supply into a surplus ammo-can so that the radio set may be operated from normal AC power. Included is the "normal" power cable, and the schematic wiring diagram and special test cables so that the transmitter or receiver may be operated individually out of their case for maintenance purposes.

LS-7 Speaker, T-17 Microphone, HS-30 Headset

LS-7 is the correct speaker for BC-1306, it has a PJ-055 Plug. This particular speaker is a post-war unit manufactured by Telefunken.

The included HS-30 Headset is correct for the BC-1306. It is complete with the R-30U ear buds, CD-620 Cable, CD-605 Cable and PJ-055 Plug. All wiring is pliable with no cracks. Comes with clip. The T-17 microphone has had the carbon element replaced with an electret element and preamplifier (line powered), and is an exact electrical replacement. This microphone appears unmolested, and sounds great. No one would know by looking at it !

Antenna Sections, Generator Tripod, Generator Handles and IN-127 (black) Antenna Base (shown on BG-174 Bag)

Five antenna sections are included. All are in fine condition.

(3) MS-116 Bottom Section (1) MS-117 Middle Sections (1) AB-24 Top Section

The Generator Tripod consists of one LG-2B Leg-Seat and two LG-3 Legs for use with the GN-58 Hand Crank Generator. These items form a tripod seating arrangement for the GN-58 hand crank generator so you can power the radio by having an energetic soul crank while you operate. No hand-crank generator would be complete without the hand-cranks. Two are included in this sale. The IN-127 Antenna Base is used with the BC-1306 Radio Set to allow the whip antenna sections to be installed directly to the side of the radio set. All of these components are stored in the canvas bag BG-174.

RL-29 with CP-12 Antenna Counterpoise, Test and Power Cables, Lanyard (shown with BX-53 Spares box)

CP-12 Antenna Counterpoise consists of a center plate and four 25-foot #14 AWG ground radials on the RL-29 reel. Condition: Used and usable, but the wire insulation is cracked everywhere. Doesn't affect it. The Test Cables allow the transmitter or receiver to be operated from the Ammo Box AC power supply while out of their cases for maintenance. A brand-new GY-12 Lanyard is included, it is used to guy the antenna when used in a vehicle.

GN-58 Generator and BG-175 Canvas Bag

Hand crank generator used with the BC-1306. This was a NOS unit from W5CAB that I took out of the original box. I did manage to damage one of the crank handle covers, but it does not affect operation. Shown here with legs, seat and hand cranks (included).

The BG-175 bag was another NOS acquisition. This canvas bag is designed to carry the GN-58 generator and has a shoulder strap.
