This quick reference guide is for new users of the Supply Chain Platform. It provides information on the following topics:

How to complete the first-time login process into Exostar’s Managed Access Gateway (MAG) to Access SCP-MOD

Navigate while working in SCP-MOD

Use the My Workspace page

Customize your view of data in SCP-MOD

Get assistance

First-Time Login to SCP-MOD To log into Supply Chain Platform for the first time, you will need the following information:

MAG User ID - from your administrator or by email from Exostar

One-time password – from your administrator (or created by you, if you self-registered)

System-generated password – sent to you by email from Exostar

Once you have these three pieces of information, follow the login instructions below: Note: Your welcome email from Exostar contains a link to the ‘first time login’ process – start at step 4.

1. Go to www.myexostar.com.

2. Click the Login button in the top right corner of the page. This will take you to the login page for Exostar’s Managed Access Gateway (MAG), which is the sign-on portal for SCP-MOD.

3. For your first login only, locate the First Time Login section.

NOTE: If you have already completed First Time Login, you will need to enter your username and password under the Login section. You can then refer to Step 12 in this document to access SCP-MOD.

4. Click on the ‘Establish your account’ link

(Do not enter a User ID or Password at this time.)

5. On the next screen, enter your new User ID, One Time Password and System Generated Password

6. Click Continue.

8. Click Submit.

NOTE: Responses to four security questions will be documented as part of initial set-up. You must respond to two out of four of these questions if you ever need to change your password.

9. On the Password Reset Secrets screen, select questions and provide Answers.

Password Requirements:

Must be more than 8 and less than 12 characters Must include at least one number, one letter and one special character Cannot include the same character (letter or number) more than four times

10. Click Submit.

IMPORTANT! Write down your security answers for future reference. They are case-sensitive.

11. Select the Click Here link to go back to the login page.

Note: If you are the Organization Administrator or SCP-MOD Application Administrator for your organization and you are completing the first time login, you will see a link that says ‘View Service Agreement‘. You must click on ‘I Accept’ and then you will see the ‘Open Application’ link. Upon acceptance, you will receive an email confirmation and a copy of the Service Agreement.

If the status says ‘Pending Application Administrator Approval’, then the SCP-MOD Application Administrator for your organization will receive an email notification that a user is requesting access to the application.

12. You are ready to login when the status says ‘Open Application‘. Click on the ‘Open Application’ link for access to SCP-MOD.

13. You will now be inside of the application.

General Navigation A. Header: includes your user name and role, logout function and ‘Help’ feature

B. Navigation Tree: used to navigate around the various workflows and sections of SCP-MOD

C. Page Display: the main work area in SCP-MOD

Use the arrow icon to show or hide the Navigation Tree. The arrow bar changes the width of the navigation tree to allow more room to view a document.

My Workspace Page The My Workspace page does not refresh automatically. To update this page, use the

Refresh icon, located in the top right corner of the screen.

Use My Workspace to filter documents by a status, and to work through a list of documents (e.g. new discrete orders).

Search Function You can use the search function for all document types when you have specific search criteria (a document number, an account name, or a date range etc.)

1. Search for a document type from the Navigation Tree and select the menu option you wish to use.

2. Select a sub-menu option.

3. From the sub-menu field, you will need to select an option.

4. Enter search criteria such as an Order Number and then click Search.

Use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard

Use a comma with no spaces to represent “or”(Example: Searching in ‘Order Number’ with *334*,*335* will return results for all orders that have a 334 OR a 335 somewhere in the Order Number)

Summary Function Use Summary pages to locate documents based on search criteria. The search results

will come back as a number of results per document status.

Commonly Used Icons

Selection Checkbox – use to select line items. Top checkbox selects all rows on that page (but NOT all rows in a multiple page document. You must select each page separately).

Configurator –select data fields to display on each page and their order on the page.

Sort Order – click icon to change the sort order of a list from ascend to descend. The number indicates the sort priority.

Export – use to export header or line item information for documents. Note: Many locations have an ‘Export’ button which may export different information for that page.

Refresh – use to refresh the status of an upload or download request.

My Workspace

The My Workspace page serves as a ‘dashboard’ view of your transactions in the Supply Chain Platform (SCP-MOD). The data is organized by document type (or business process) and then by possible states for that document type. Each number that you will find on the page is a link that takes you to the document type and state that you selected. My Workspace automatically refreshes when lines move from one state to another as you are working in SCP-MOD.

Each section represents a document type, such as Discrete Orders or Shipments.

Each row represents a state for that document type.

Each number represents the number of lines that are in the state that you selected (click to see details). SCP-MOD will show a max of ‘+5000’ for any row on My Workspace.

The Supply Network Exceptions section (top right) contains alerts that can help you find critical data. By clicking on a number link, you will go to a list page that meets the alert’s criteria (e.g. missing responses).

The counts on My Workspace are at the LINE level (or schedule line level for orders).

You can configure the information that displays on My Workspace by clicking the configurator

icon in the top right corner of the page. You can set up My Workspace as the first page you see each time you login to SCP-MOD:

On the left-side navigation tree, go to My Profile and then to Change Home Page.

Select My Workspace to make it the first page that you see upon login. (A pop-up window will appear confirming the change.)

Customize Your View of Data You can customize many SCP screens to only display information that is useful to you. Customization can be done by any user, and it can be updated at any time. Customization changes can be made as a default (stays in place even if you logout) or as a temporary update (only in place for a particular login session).

Customize the My Workspace Page Hide/show sections of the My Workspace page 1. Go to My Workspace

2. In top right corner, click the Configurator ( ) icon

3. Select checkboxes for items to be shown on the My Workspace page

4. Scroll down, click Update Preferences

Filter the Data Showing on the My Workspace Page 1. Use the filter icon by each section on My Workspace to set up filtering criteria for that

section.

2. Enter the ‘search’ criteria to be used for filtering.

3. When finished, click on ‘Save Portal Preference’.

4. A check mark will appear next to the filter icon on My Workspace, indicating a filter is on

5. To modify or remove the filter, simply click the icon again and clear or edit the criteria.

Customize View on a List Page 1. Go to any list page (the result of a search or link from My Workspace etc.).

2. In the top right corner, click the Configurator ( ) icon.

3. Use left/right arrows to select items to be viewed on the list page.

a. The ‘Available columns’ section should contain any data fields that you do NOT want to display on that list page.

4. Use up/down arrows to determine the layout on the screen (the top of list shows as the first column).

5. Save your changes.

a. To save the changes for all future logins, click Save as Default.

b. To save the changes only for this login session, click Update.

Note: It is possible to change your choices. Simply repeat this process as required.

Customize View on a Details Page 1. Go to the details page for an Order Management document (Discrete Order, Shipment or

Invoice).

2. In the top right corner, click the Configurator ( ) icon.

3. Use the left/right arrows to select items to be viewed on the details page.

a. The ‘Available columns’ section should contain any data fields that you do NOT want to display on that list page.

4. Use up/down arrows to determine the layout on the screen. The top of the list shows as the first column.

5. Save your changes.

a. To save the changes for all future logins, click Save as Default.

b. To save the changes only for this login session, click Update.

Note: It is possible to change your choices. Simply repeat this process as required.

Get Assistance There are three ways to get assistance while you are working in SCP-MOD:

o Navigate to Find Information by Customer, Ministry of Defense ePurchasing , Supply Chain Platform.

o Helpful information can be found on the Training Documents and Administration for Users & Orgs pages.

2. Refer to Help Files in SCP-MOD o On any screen in SCP-MOD, you can click on the Help link in the top right corner. o Information is listed by general topic and then each sub-topic is a short PDF

document that can be viewed or downloaded.

3. Contact Exostar Customer Support o Go to the My Exostar website (www.myexostar.com). o Click on the Online Support tab to create an online support case. o Click on the Contact Us tab to view the telephone numbers and support hours

for live assistance.
