TECHNOLOGY

A PROMISE FOR YOUR RIDETriphase (TP) is a climate control technology based on a PU(polyurethane) membrane developed exclusively by Scott Sports. The construction offers a high level of breathability while also keeping a rider’s body climate comfortable by man-aging outside elements that he or she might encounter. Wind-proof and waterproof features protect in all weather conditions while breathable aspects allow moisture and vapor to escape to maintain the highest level of comfort.According to Scott requirements, the 3layer and Z-liner con-struction is tested under extreme conditions before being ap-proved for use in Scott Motorsports products.

SCOTT GARMENTS ENGINEERED WITH GORE-TEX® PRODUCTS ARE DURABLE WATERPROOF,WINDPROOF AND HIGHLY BREATHABLE.GORE-TEX® products are created by laminating the GORE-TEX® membrane to high-performance textiles. In order to guarantee a waterproof product, the seams on the entire garment are sealed with Gore-Seam® tape technology.

TECHNOLOGY

CORDURA® fabrics are exceptionally durable and regarded as “best-in-class”. The material has to pass stringent test criteria before earning the CORDURA® brand name, but once awarded, a CORDURA® product is guaranteed to be durable, versatile, and reliable.

SCOTT CONNECTION ZIPPERThe Connection Zipper is the essential link between the jacket and pants. Scott only uses high quality YKK Connection Zip-pers which are standardized according to Scott standards. In case of a crash, this zipper protects the rider by keeping the connection strongly sealed, and also keeps out wind and rain in everyday riding. All Scott styles can be combined.

SAS-TEC experts have years of experience with shock absorb-ing systems. The systems have passed all of Scott’s require-ments and have significantly outperformed the benchmark for all join and back protectors in the European Market, known as the CE Standards.

3D-Protector from visco elastic soft foam with outstanding shock absorption values: Residual force according to EN 1621-2 under 9KN (limit Level 2: 9KN). Anatomically perfectly adapted and barely noticeable. High-end engineering for greater per-formace.

ALPT: ALTERNATIVE LOAD PATH TECHNOLOGY.All Scott-Braces help protect riders from 5 types of head/neck impacts by employing Alternative Load Path Technology™. This innovation helps disperse the energy, typically transferred to the neck, resulting from an impact to the head* and assists in the transferring of forces away from the vulnerable neck structures to less vulnerable areas of the body and is pivotal in the design of all Scott-Braces.In a typical face-plant type accident without a Scott-Brace, the force of the impact is transferred from the ground to the hel-met, through the helmet to the scull and scull base where it is then transferred through the neck to the back (thoracic spine). With the Scott-Brace fitted, the force will instead transfer from the ground to the helmet, through the helmet onto the Scott-Brace once contact is made, some of the force will therefore be transferred to the brace and dispersed to the less vulnerable parts of the torso. If the impact is significant enough, the brace is designed to fail in crumple zones (similar to those seen in cars), thereby helping to absorb some of the energy of the impact.

THE SCOTT-BRACE HELPS PROTECT AGAINST THEFOLLOWING MAIN SCENARIOS:Hyperextension: Extreme bending of the head in a rearward direction. Hyperflexion: Extreme bending of the head in a forward direc-tion. Lateral Hyperflexion: Extreme bending of the head to one side Posterior Hypertranslation: Movement of the head relative to the neck, at ninety degrees to the neck.
