Traditional clothes and instruments
KILT- a traditional, knee-length piece of wollen clothing worn by Scottish male population on special occasions.
BAGPIPE- a traditional Scottish instrument. Tradidtional pipe consists of a bag (made from the skins of goats, cows or sheep), a chanter and drones.
Traditional Sports
TOSSING THE CABER - This competition is to keep upright,
then cast a long pile or log. The player holds a stake for the smaller end and balances it so it
does not fall. Then timber is thrown so that the log will turn on 180 º and a wider end falls
down.
Traditional dish
Traditional dish is haggis.Haggis is a savoury puddingcontaining sheep's pluck (heart, liver and lungs); minced with onion, oatmeal,suet, spices, and salt and traditionally encased in thestomach animal's.
Scottish tourismBEN NEVIS- the highest mountain in Great Britan. It rises to a height of1344 m above sea level and dominates the valley of Glen Nevis.
The legend of NessieNESSIE was first spotted by theVikings – Celtic and Norse folklorehas stories of water horses seen inthe Lochs. Legend tells of howSt. Columba heard about themonster's murder of a man and how he rowed out to the centre ofthe loch to order the beast to desist from such attacks in thefuture. Ever since that time, Nessiehas never been known to haverepeated its misdemeanour.
