Scotland’s geographyScotland forms the northern part of Great Britain and is about two-thirds the size of England and Wales. It is surrounded by sea on three sides: to the west and north by the Atlantic Ocean and on the east by the North Sea. Scotland's landscape is famous for its variety, including the highest mountain in the UK, Ben Nevis, in the north and gentle countryside in the south.

Scotland’s rivers and lakes are well-known for their mythical monsters, such as Loch Ness monster, and have always been a source of inspiration for poets, artists and song-writers. Scotland's weather through the year might really affect your holiday - come rain, snow or sunshine... and midges!
