Australia Wide solar has developed a strong professional presence with good referral

Established in 1992 we are at the forefront of the solar revolution. All of the solar panels we

stock and sell are manufactured by large reputable companies who are major players in the

solar power industry. As such, you can rest assured that they will still be around in years to

come to support their products and warranties should the need arise. Our valuable

relationships with our suppliers are the key to our success. We value these relationships and

always strive to strengthen them.

Government

Government – Seaforth TAFE

Seaforth Tafe renovated in 2015 to create a 76-bed facility for people with low-care and

high-care needs as well as those suffering from dementia. The 100kW system sits on a

concrete roof with Tilt frames. This government owned facility carefully selected the

partner to install this system to ensure the solar power system will be a lasting and

profitable investment.

The Hills Shire Council

Australia Wide Solar has been selected by many councils through competitive public

tender process’s. The Hills Shire Council has moved into this new facility and installed

several phases of Solar Arrays. These large open concrete roofs are perfect for the solar

installations provided. The system was carefully positioned on the roof to avoid any losses

due to shading from the numerous pieces of existing equipment installed on the roof.

Kogarah Council Works Depot

At the time in 2008 this was a ground breaking system and perhaps the biggest in

Australia. This was the start of the commercial size solar wave. Installed on a tin roof this

system is available to view on our monitoring site and still performing strongly against

modern high quality product.

Manly SLSC

Surfers at Queenscliff, North Steyne and Manly do more than patrol the beaches - they are

also setting an environmental example. In 2007, on the initiative of the Mayor, the clubhouses

were supplied with solar hot water and photovoltaic cells, allowing them to generate all the

power they need. This is a tough environment for any externally mounted structure – so every

consideration was made to ensure a long lasting system. With many installation companies

excited to do this high profile job, Australia Wide Solar was very pleased to be nominated.

NSW Police CU - Goulburn

With 2 stages of installation, first in 2007 and then later in 2010 the building has a total of

7.6kW. The Police Credit Union saw after 3 years the amazing yield from a quality

installation so approached Australia Wide Solar to increase the size.

University Of Western Sydney

Australia Wide Solar won the University Of Western Sydney through a public tender in

2007. Australia Wide Solar then assisted the university apply for the PVRP Grants for

Schools and Community Buildings. Where grants are available we are ready to navigate

through that process in order to maximise the investment.

Brookvale TAFE

Australia Wide Solar assisted Tafe to seek funding and install 2 solar projects. TAFE NSW is

committed to integrating sustainability into all teaching practices, and understands the

importance of modelling sustainability on its own campuses. TAFE wanted practical support

to address its own environmental footprint and saw Sustainability Advantage as a

good opportunity to access additional help and advice in achieving its goals.

Ascham School

Ascham is a non-selective, day and boarding girls’ school that provides a strong academic

program within a friendly, inclusive culture. The school sought advice from a trusted builder

to select the right Solar Electric Company who took the project to market. . Through a strong

track record and correct product recommendation Australia Wide Solar was selected as the

installer and designer. This system is amongst the first installed under the National Solar

Schools Program. The systems are also connected to the internet via a smart meter system

which automatically uploads the systems energy production data to a website, where it can

be accessed by students and the school community.

Commercial

Spice Masters Australia

Commissioned in February of 2014. This is a large 100kW array in Sydney on a leading

manufacturer of spice products roof, bringing quality ingredients and customer service to

the market. This system sits flat on a low pitch trim deck roof, the customer elected to lay

the system flat so they could increase the roof space available & deliver the desired yield

result.

Mirvac ‘Era Chatswood’

Australia Wide Solar understands this to be one of the highest solar arrays in the county. The

44 x 327w SunPower’s are 60 stories high in Chatswood NSW. It’s the combined skills of the

Australia Wide Solar team that both design and seek the certification to meet the extreme

conditions. A environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) Principles are key to the construction

of the ’ERA’ building.

Lifestyle at Brookvale

Lifestyle Working Brookvale is a benchmark building that provides considerable energy and

environmental savings whilst achieving high levels of comfort for the community of people

who work within the building. One of the largest PV solar arrays at the time in 2007, of any

building in the country, to substantially generate power for the supply of the common area

electricity needs - a huge saving! The system is built on bespoke frames systems that provide

shade below and produce the highest possible yields.

Altronics

Established in 1976, a fully Australian owned and operated company who supply electronic

components to the solar industry. Altronics went to market seeking quotes and selected

Australia Wide Solar for the quality product offered in a Winaico and SMA solution. We are

committed to ensuring we offer a high level of product quality, back up and service to

maintain this reputation.

This ‘East West’ system designed to produce yield during the day that will be consumed by

the building to minimise any export. Whilst an unshaded ‘North Facing System’ may make

more kWh’s, Australia Wide Solar encourage you to consider these 2 key reasons why ‘West

can be Best’

(1) Most consumers use more power in the afternoon – Western systems make more power

in the afternoon.

(2) Most power costs are far dearer in the afternoon (Time of use metering). Also when you

split a system up, for example: East & West ‘OR’ North & West, the power production is

better spread over the day – Less unusable kWh's.

The key thing is that, at Australia Wide Solar we pay attention to loads, roof space,

orientation, look at tariffs for individual people and business. We want to design a system to

suit your specific needs.

The Gemini

This system is 13 Storys high battling against the Sydney southerly winds. Australia Wide

Solar built custom wind certified framing to match the conditions. The system stood up well

against the 2015 Sydney East Coast Low – the ultimate test only weeks after commissioning.

Domestic

100kW Hunter Valley

To our knowledge this is the largest domestic solar system in Australia. This wonderful

system is installed flat on tin roof with a bank of 12 SMA inverters. As this is in a rural area

the solar system is meticulously designed and tested to stand up to some of the harshest

conditions including - temperature swings, battering winds, humidity, hail and more.

Mittagong

This system is on custom racking in a cattle pasture in Mittagong. Properly fenced this is a

viable way to use of land that may be available to improve yields. Australia Wide Solar will

arrange the whole project including trenching, footings, and local contractors along with the

standard installation.

City Stand Alone

Grid disconnection – This is the choice to disconnect from the grid! This is an example of

Grid Connect Hybrid

This is having grid connection, combined with a lithium polymer battery bank battery bank.

When the Solar PV produces more than is required the excess power is stored in a battery

bank. Should the batteries run flat then the home switches back to the grid. This is really the

same ideas as a Hybrid car – best of both worlds.

Bespoke

Burning Palms

Our most extreme entry to any site since we started installing solar in 1992. This site was

difficult to deliver equipment too by road – so we went by air! Batteries, Panels, Rail and

equipment all lifted in by helicopter. With careful project planning and thought-out designs

the burning Palms community have sustainable power!

Mining Skid

The standalone power system is designed to supply a daily power consumption of

2.6kWh/day in both summer and winter.

The solar array which is providing the power to the batteries, at 10 degrees pitch, facing true

north, it is expected that the solar array is to provide 6.22kWh/day in January and

3.37kWh/day in June, at the Tamworth region.

Finance

The most common finance options on offer

Finance Lease

Finance Leasing is a common finance method used by Australian companies irrespective of

size. With ongoing investment by industry in technologies that have obsolescence factors,

Finance Leases are popular for plant and equipment that has a high retained value at the end

of the lease term. Under a Finance Lease residual values are set in accordance with the

depreciated value at the end of the lease term. Terms are available up to 5 years and longer

for special projects.

Chattel Mortgage

This funding method is used by companies that prefer to amortise the principal debt over

the selected term. Financing under Chattel Mortgage can also be structured with balloon

payments if required. Conventional terms are up to 5 years, but can be longer in special

cases.

Term Rental Finance

A large number of companies, including those in the public sector use Term Rental Finance

where technology is advanced and ownership is unnecessary. This product allows for

amortisation of the cost, it is flexible for upgrading and adding services, and the facility

rentals are fully expensed. Obsolescence factors dictate the use of Term Rental as the

customer moves to the latest available business technologies. Terms are available to 5 years

and longer.
