One of the most critical requirements to
become a successful professional is to be
very careful in serving your co-workers and
preserving your relationships said,
in his convocation address
to the outgoing students. Business organizations are becoming
more and more system-based and rule-based with growing
modernization. Consequently, personalized approaches and
relations are becoming progressively uncommon. This is going to
be a serious challenge to the new generation of managers
added.
Dr.G.P.C.Nayar, Chairman, SCMS Group presided over the
ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nayar, stressed on the
need for improving quality of our professional education on a
continuous basis in order to make it comparable to world
standards. And that would necessarily require more investments.
Without additional investments it is not possible to improve the

Visiting Foreign Faculty Reflections and reminiscences
Our journey of life in SCMS School of
Engineering and Technology was actually a
transformation from the basic Newton's laws of
motion to the advanced principles of gas
dynamics and jet propulsion Pascal's law to
computational fluid dynamics and Bhor's
model of atom to nanotechnology. Never in our lives could
we imagine that the four years of living could forge us to this
level of science and technology.
Industrial visits, inplant training, seminars, orientation
classes, cultural and technical mega shows, social services,
and lots and lots of exposure to technology-SSET had been
an impetus for us to drive technology towards the social
development and then self realization through them. The
IEDC of the college encourages students to do innovative
projects and I have completed a project under the guidance of
this centre which is pending for patent. Through the
determination which SSET has power packed in us through
its vibrant class rooms, we are destined to take charge and
drive the nation ahead, like never before.
Anugrah A. K., Eighth semester Mechanical Engineering
student.
SSET became a guide to my life throughout the
'four' years. The assignments taught us all
lessons of punctuality, lab works opened to me
the extraordinary world of science, the micro to
macro project works taught us perseverance
and management besides opening the gates to
experiencing 'engineering,' and every other
small thing which built an understanding, hopeful, caring and
leader person out of me. I can write on and on and yet will not
feel satisfied enough to thank SCMS for choosing me for
working days and nights out to carve an 'Engineer' out of me!
During the final year, we had an excellent campus
recruitment season which helped me land a job with Infosys
Limited along with my 40 friends.
I sincerely wish every student who gets blessed with the
opportunity to study in this college, utilize all the chances
presented to them and imbibe in them the important lessons
to become a better engineer and more than that a better
'person', given by this wonderful institution.
Hats off to SSET
