Gomez, Josephine Gonzales, Genina Teriz  Jimenez, Maria Christina Lajara, Argyll 5ECE-A  There was this family who’s prominent in a town province because of their wealth and numerous properties including airplanes and vast lands. They were living an abundant lifestyle. They have several other wealthy friends; some were frequently visiting their place for leisure. But even though they were wealthy , they don’t forget to reach out to the needy.  Tony, the head of the family, whose dream is to help and touch the lives of people, sold a large part of his land to make way for a factory of feeds. With t hat factory being built, people in their province would have jobs. His endeavor helped a lot of town folks. Unfortunately as he aged, he became incapable of managing the family’s assets and properties. Later on, his  wife spent some of it in gambling and his children spent some to fulfill their luxury and  vices. Then he became stressed, got drunk, took addictive drugs and became philanderer. Eventually, the money and properties they once had was already gone. They tried asking their family friends for help but they were just turned down. They were treated as nothing.  Then the inevitable happened, Tony died. His wife and his children regretted everything. To their surprise, before Tony’s burial, the people he once helped came and filled the whole church. Many were crying   most of them, they don’t recognize d. As the whole church was filled, Tony’s family wondered how they could entertain and serve food to the people. They  were astonished as the people were the ones who prepared the food. They came to realize that the people present at the church were the people helped by Tony when he was still alive    the factory workers, the people who resided at Tony’s la nd, and their relatives. Every detail about his burial was already taken care of. His wake and the food were given for free. The normal people valued Tony and the help he gave them unlike the rich ones who only valued his status. Some says that the basis of whether you’ll end up in heaven or hell is how you lived here on Earth. Based on the story, where do you think Tony would go? In the story, the  proximate end would be  Tony’s family seeking help from their friends in times of being financially incapable. The intermediate end  would be Tony suddenly selling of his own land to make way for a factory that would help provide jobs for his townsmen. The ultimate end  would be happiness Tony felt as he touched the lives of the people he has helped. The absolute last end would be Tony being with God in Heaven. Here are some examples of the kinds of goods present in the story. For real good:  Tony’s acts of helping others look  for jobs and house to live in. For apparent good: gambling, getting drunk, going out with other women and taking addictive drugs as the family’s stress relievers. For conditional good: the frequent visiting act of their family friends when they were still wealthy. For simple good: for having a factory business and selling their properties in low price. For imperfect good: the use of money for some illegal things like gambling and taking addictive drugs. For  perfect good: the act of helping and touching the lives of others.
