WHAT IS PROJECT?Before talking the project work for foundation, it is necessary to have an exact idea of word ’PROJECT’. The project consists of seven letters – where letters has its own significance as follows

‘P’ stands for PLANNING: planning is word which idea of work proposed to be done as fact any work without planning just like a ship without the radar and compass.

‘R’ implies RESOURCES: Resources are means, which guide to promote the function of the plant, without suitable resources, a project can not work satisfactory. There must be all necessary resources in order to maintain good pc) cot work.

‘O’ denotes OPERATION: Operation is actually all the types of works, are promoted by the worker to complete by the worker to complete.

‘J’ stands for JOINT EFFOR: It means that Combine error or worker and outlierstaffto compare the work.

‘E’ Denotes ENGINEERING FUNCTION: Both the bodies i.e. planning & engineering bodies work together with engineers through there techniques for good production. All technical work is based on engineering function so it is very.

‘C’ Signifies COMMUNICATION: For execution of plan, the communication is very necessary. The material required for project work can only be brought when proper communication is available.

‘T’ Symbolizes TASK of techniques of working: with co-operation of the working body and control working body.

As a matter of fact, the work ‘PROJECT’ is used specially for construction purpose.

AIMS OF PROJECT

Following are the aims & attributes to be develop in the technician

Attitude of inquiry.

Ability to face new problem.

To work as a leader and as a member of team.

To select suitable material, process, instrument & tools.

To application of various subject studies in solving problems. (Basic technical background )

Majority of diploma holder works as a supervisor i.e. like between the skilled draft man & engineer so, he should have the above mentioned abilities when goes on field. Only project can held in developing the above skills & abilities.

Working mechanism of industrial situation getting tools. Etc. can be visualized through project.

Ability to follow standard test produce to solve a problem.

Abstract

A scissor jack assembly with double-lead Acme threaded screw. Through use of urethane or similar material as a braking means, the jack assembly is operable with a self locking action over a wider range of loads and especially at lower loads where an Acme loading phenomenon that results in said self locking action has previously been unattainable. Faster and smoother jack operation is made possible by employing a thrust bearing, including a plurality of roller or ball bearings, with the jack assembly. A spacing washer is also provided to retain the threaded shaft within the trunnions of the jack assembly, in order that the ends of each of the trunnions need not be machined or stamped to retain the trunnions within the jack assembly. Utilizing such a spacing washer decreases the costs involved with manufacturing the jack assembly, while increasing the ability to repair the jack assembly

ConclusionWe concluded from this project that,

The project presents a kinematically correct animation of the function of a scissor jack assembly with a double-lead Acme threaded screw invented by Garceau and described in United States Patent #6,607,181.

A scissor jack is a device which lifts heavy equipment. The most common form is a car jack, floor jack or garage jack which lifts vehicles so that maintenance can be performed. Car jacks usually use mechanical advantage to allow a human to lift a vehicle by manual force alone. Mechanical jacks are usually rated for a maximum lifting capacity (for example, 1.5 tons or 3 tons).

Scissor jack are designed to quickly raise one end of a load to heights of up to 8 feet above the shop floor clevises on the jack fit under each frame rail and the load is raised.
