3rd Grandparents’ Day An invitation letter came home this week inviting 3rd grade Grandparents to come have lunch with their grand- child. Please be sure to re- turn this form by Tuesday so the lunch ladies may have an accurate number of guests to expect for lunch. Fundraiser Information Fundraiser order forms and money must be turned in Tuesday, September 8 by 9:00 AM. Book Fair The Scipio Elementary Book Fair will be October 5- October 9 during the stu- dent’s library times and dur- ing Parent-Teacher Confer- ences. This year you will be able to place your order online! Check out our web- site (ses.jcsc.org) during these days for the link to the web- site you need to place your Book Fair order. Text Messages To receive messages from Mrs. Eaton from time to time via text, text @557f33 to 81010. You can opt-out of messages at anytime by reply- ing, 'unsubscribe @557f33'. Trouble using 81010? Recorders Students in grades 3 – 6 will be playing recorders in music class for the next two weeks and again later in the year. The re- corder is a small, fairly inexpen- sive flute that is very helpful teaching students how to read music notation and in develop- ing the eye-hand coordination necessary to play any instru- ment. We provide recorders to be used in music class, however if you wish to purchase one for your child to practice with at home they are for sale in the school office for $4.00.
