Launch  Science  360    Click  on  the  Science  360  icon  located  on  your  iPad.          The  first  time  you  open  Science  360  a  quick  tutorial  page  appears.

Science  360        Navigation  Features    To  navigate  Science  360,  notice  the  gestures  from  the  tutorial.        

                       

 

Open  a  Video  or  Image    Tap  once  on  the  grid  to  reveal  the  corresponding  video  or  image.        Note:    A  video  has  a  play  button.      

Images    Once  you  open  an  image,  a  brief  description  appears.  Notice  it  provides  a  published  date  along  with  crediting  the  source  at  the  bottom  of  the  description.        A  menu  bar  with  options  appears  at  the  bottom  of  the  screen.                

Two  Finger  Tap  to  show  additional  menu  options  including  search.  

Using  your  pointer  finger,  tap  the  screen  to  launch  video  or  image.  

Pinch  with  your  thumb  and  pointer  finger  to  zoom  in  and  out  on  the  main  screen.  

With  your  pointer  finger,  drag  your  finger  across  the  screen  to  view  more  videos  and  images  on  the  grid.  

Return  to  grid.

Science  360    

   Videos    Videos  have  a  play  button  on  top  of  the  image.    Once  you  choose  a  video,  it  will  load  and  play.    Similar  to  an  image,  the  video  provides  a  description  along  with  a  menu  bar.              

             

Search    With  two  fingers,  tap  the  grid  one  time.    A  menu  bar  will  appear.    Choose  Tags.    Each  video  has  a  tag  –  a  keyword  to  organize  the  videos.    Scroll  through  the  options  to  view  a  video  by  the  tag.        or          

Return  to  grid.  

Save.   Share  via  Twitter  or  email.

Science  360              Search  by  tapping  the  magnify  glass  in  the  top  right  corner  of  the  screen.      A  search  box  will  appear  for  you  to  type  in  your  keywords.    Notice  as  you  type  a  videos  and  images  will  appear.    If  no  images  or  videos  appear,  broaden  your  search  term  or  try  a  synonym  of  the  keyword.            

News    With  two  fingers,  tap  the  grid  one  time.    A  menu  bar  will  appear.    Choose  News.    The  most  recent  news  articles  will  appear.    Scroll  through  the  list  to  locate  an  article.        Choose  Read  More  to  view  the  entire  article.      

Saved    When  you  locate  an  image  or  video  you  want  to  keep,  click  the  Save  (star)  icon  from  the  menu  bar.        To  locate  all  your  saved  items,  tap  the  grid  one  time  with  two  fingers.    A  menu  bar  will  appear.    Choose  Saved.    A  list  of  your  saved  items  will  appear.    Tap  to  view.

Science  360            To  delete  a  video  or  image,  click  the  Edit  button  in  the  top  right  corner.    Click  the  X  beside  the  corresponding  video  to  delete.        Press  done.                        

Other  Options    With  two  fingers,  tap  the  grid  one  time.    A  menu  bar  will  appear.    Choose  More.    

Add  Twitter  Integration:    Provides  the  ability  to  Twitter  images  and  videos.    Login  to  connect  your  Twitter  account.    Reset  Application:    Use  to  erase  all  saved  information  and  refresh  the  app.    This  might  be  helpful  if  the  app  is  locking  up  or  running  very  slow.    However,  all  saved  information  will  be  deleted.
