Research conducted i n t h e 6 8 r e s e a r c h l a b o r a t o r i e s o f t h e C l a u d e B e r n a r d L y o n 1 U n i v e r s i t y generate more than 4300 international publications a year.
It also makes Lyon 1 the first French University in patent registration with a total of 40 applications this year.
Lyon 1 is also part of The University of Lyon, the second largest scientific research center in France. With over 100,000 students, it includes 20 higher education establishments.
The University of Lyon is also involved in 5 "Competitiveness clusters", gathering together businesses, laboratories and schools for innovative R&D projects in specific and competitive areas:
