food chains from the
same ecosystem, then
create a diagram of a
food web using the
organisms from both
food chains.
Explain how complete metamorphosis and
incomplete metamorphosis are similar and different. Include a diagram of each
type.
Diagram an underwater
example of the Carbon
Dioxide-Oxygen Cycle.
Give each organism in
your diagram a speech
bubble talking about the
cycle.
Diagram and
summarize the water
cycle. Include at least
8 processes involved
in the water cycle.
Diagram the life cycle of a ladybug and the life cycle of a dragonfly.
Create a Venn diagram comparing the two
cycles.
Create a comic strip
explaining how
sedimentary rock can
turn into more
sedimentary rock.
Choose ____ activities to complete.

Space
Science Choice Board
Create a detailed
diagram of the planets
in orbit around our Sun
in the correct order.
Compare and contrast rotation and orbit in a
Venn Diagram.
Diagram rotation of
the Earth and how the
amount of sunlight
would be different at 4
different places on
Earth.
Diagram the orbital
movements involving
the Sun, the moon, and
Earth. Explain how they
affect moon phases
and seasons.
Create a colored poster convincing people to come
visit the sun. Include at least 3 features they would get
to see.
Create a table
illustrating, naming and
timing the 8 moon
phases.

Describe how a delta is
formed. Include an
illustration of each step.
Diagram weathering, erosion, and deposition
as they would apply to a glacier.
Write a poem as an
ode to soil properties.
An ode is written to
praise or glorify
something.
Diagram an outside
park and label 5
alternative energy
resources found in your
park.
Create, color, and label symbols to represent each
of these 5 resources: biofuels, hydroelectric, wind,

summarize the
formation of fossil
fuels in 3 steps.

life of an ice cube in first
person detailing his
changes in matter once it

Thank you for purchasing my Science Choice Boards. There are 6 choice boards with 9
different activities on each. Each choice board allows you or the student to choose
how many activities have to be completed for differentiation. Topics covered include
3rd, 4th and 5th grade TEKS. The six choice board topics are: Space, Cycles, Matter,
Energy, Earth and it’s Resources, and the Environment. I like to let them fold a large
piece of manila construction paper into fourths and let them chose 4 activities. I also
like giving each student in a group a different choice board, then they have to teach
their completed choices to the others in their groups. As my students complete these
this year, I will add pictures of their work. I hope you enjoy this activity! For more
activities, please visit my TpT store and my blog at:
