ActivityIn pairs, student should place cards into two sections, Matter or Not Matter. Students should explain the rule or reasoning used to make their choices. I circulate around the room to evaluate misconceptions to address throughout the lesson. (SpEd and ELL Modification - Sentence stems can be provided to start student discussion. Place laminated cards and adhere to desks or display on projector or document camera. As teacher circulates, students should be encouraged to use the sentence stems in their responses/discussion.
